3 arrested for sexually assaulting teen girl

Three South Bay men are under arrest, accused of a violent crime against a 14-year-old girl. San Jose police say the men sexually assaulted her at a party and they may not be the only ones involved. San Jose police say it happened during a house party at Escobedo's house over the weekend.
No one was home Tuesday, but signs of the party were still on the front porch.
More than a dozen people were at the house Saturday night, including the 14-year-old victim.
"She could have been an acquaintance of some sort or knew the people throwing the party through other friends," San Jose Police Department spokesperson, Sergeant Ronnie Lopez said. "The 14-year-old was intoxicated.
Police now think more people, in addition to the three suspects, may have also attacker her.
"It's a violent assault, it's a case that we look at extremely seriously as we would in any other type of allegations and what's important for us is to really put pieces of the puzzle together," Lopez said.
The victim left the party sometime after midnight Sunday morning. She went home and a short time later, a relative brought her to Santa Theresa Hospital in South San Jose.
Hospital personnel called police.
All of the suspect's neighbors knew about the party, but not what Escobedo is accused of.
"It doesn't matter what age, a woman getting sexually assaulted at any age is just horrible," neighbor Trung Nguyen said.
San Jose police hope more witnesses will come forward with information.

San Jose police have arrested three men who allegedly sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl at a party over the weekend.

The teenager told police she was intoxicated when the men assaulted her at a party in the 3300 block of Rocky Mountain Drive, according to Sgt. Ronnie Lopez. After the party she reported to Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital, where staff contacted police shortly before 5:45 a.m. Sunday.

Joseph Escobedo, 23, Joel Vega-Araiza, 21, and Allan Diaz, 21, all of San Jose were subsequently arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on sexual assault charges, according to Lopez.

Three Reedley College students arrested last week in connection with a sexual assault case have been released from Fresno County Jail.

The Fresno County District Attorney's Office has referred the cases against Anthony Holloway, 19, Mandel Dejon Wright, 20, and Carl Leon Robinson, 20, back to State Center Community College District's police department for additional investigation.

The men, who were arrested Thursday, were released because no charges were filed by the District Attorney's Office.

no matter how old the victim,
where she was,
what time it was,
how she was dressed,
how she was acting,
whether or not she was drunk or high,
no matter WHAT...

it is RAPE to force a woman to have sex against her will or to have sex with her when she is incapacitated. i don't care if she is standing naked on a street corner at 3 AM; NOBODY has the right to force a woman to have sex against her will or w/o her consent.
this young woman is not to blame for the crime done to her. the perpetrators ALONE are responsible. no excuses. no slack. zero tolerance.
