Jesse Rosa broke his baby in a brutal, physical assault

A 20-year-old Brockton man is being held on $100,000 cash bail after his arraignment Tuesday for what authorities say was a brutal, physical assault on his own baby daughter.

Jesse Rosa was arrested Monday and charged with two counts of assault and battery on a child with substantial injury resulting.

The baby, now just 4 months old, was found to have suffered fractures to both of her legs, elbows, clavicles (collarbone) and a rib, according to Gregg Miliote, spokesman for the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

Miliote said the attacks on little Jayla Rosa occurred “over various stages” of time. He said the DA’s office initiated the arrest after having conducted “an extensive” 10-day investigation.

He said that the baby’s mother, whose name has not yet been made public, brought her baby to Morton Hospital and Medical Center, where a call was made to the state’s Department of Children and Families, who in turn contacted the DA’s office.

Both the baby and her 4-year-old brother have since been placed under DCS care and custody, he said. A spokeswoman at Morton Hospital would not comment on the girl having possibly been a patient there.

No charges so far have been lodged against the mother, but Rosa could face additional charges, said Miliote, who added that each count of assault and battery on a child with substantial injury resulting carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison.

I was 19 with three kids that I loved and took good care of. Yes, it was hard at times, but my mom looked at me one day while I taking care of my kids and told me the nicest thing that I had ever heard...she said that I was born to be a mommy.

Im not going to say in those pics the baby wasnt in pain but my youngest son was born with that "look", he used to always do his eyebrows in the "pissed off" look even has a newborn. I looked at her pics and she had that look in the hospital after birth so maybe she just liked the "pissed off" face too.

What ever this baby beater gets, it's not enough. Though it should be enough to have every single fucking bone broke at least once while in prison. I certainly hope for that. And what's the mother's excuse for not noticing her baby in pain? Injuries were over times, so she cannot say she noticed NOTHING. I can hardly believe that with the extent of injuries this baby endured. Mother should be at least charged for idiocy and cruelty.

Anything that results in a beaten baby ain't koo (wtf). Let's see, 7 years in prison, repeated anal rapes, felon for life, no job, no money, no woman with half a brain will ever fuck that again, and he'll likely never be allowed around children...let me know how that pays off for him.

The only thing I'll give you is that his baby is beautiful. And now she can show that beauty as she grows up, with no fear and no pain, because the man that broke her is bunking with Bubba.

I wish that people like you would put aside the bullshit and face reality. You believe that he didn't do it because he loves the baby and he's your cuz. My daughter screamed A LOT when she was a baby. Like I almost wanted to stab myself she screamed so much.

If I had a dollar for every time I stripped her and examined her limbs looking for the source of her pain I would be filthy, stinking rich! I figured that it could have been something itchy in her clothes or a bug bite or something that I would be able to see or feel. You know, bones have a continuity to them when they aren't broke and if they are broke and you touch them it hurts.

I can not for the life of me figure out how a caretaker couldn't figure out something was broken. I have to suspect a cover up.

I will give credit to the human body though. It is an amazing machine that has natural defenses against pain. I hope that pretty baby's physiological defenses were top notch.

Bless her heart. I hope she is well and resting peacefully now.
