Josselyn Velazauez took off with 4 mo. baby Jadiel instead of turning him over to DCF. Mother and baby have been missing since July 9 and are beloved to be in the company of her boyfriend, Eric Melendez. The were last seen at a hotel on foot. My concern is this woman has a history with drugs and the law and appears desperate to keep her child. I'm hoping that means he is not in danger but nothing is a sure thing. 7 other children prior to this incident were removed from her home, siting unfit living conditions. Desperate....drugs, running from the law, not a good thing.
An Osceola County mother of eight, whose seven children were taken away by DCF, is still on the run this morning with her eighth and youngest child, deputies said.
Law enforcement officers have an arrest warrant for Josselyn Velazquez, 31, who violated her probation recently and has disappeared with her four-month-old son. Investigators believe the boy could be in danger.
Velazquez lost custody of her first seven children because her home was deemed "an unsafe living environment" ....
Velazquez was supposed to have turned the infant over to DCF authorities. Law enforcement cannot issue an Amber Alert for the boy because he is with his mother, Twis Lizasuain, spokeswoman for the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
Velazquez may be with her boyfriend, Eric Melendez, 36, who apparently is the father of Velazquez's eighth baby, a boy. Investigators think they may be living in a Kissimmee motel.Haven't amber alerts been issued in cases like this when a child is with a parent? I'm still not clear when one can be issued and what the reason are why one is not. I hope they are found soon. This is no life for baby Jadiel...be found safe little one.-- The Department of Children and Families and Osceola County deputies are on the hunt for the mother of a baby boy. Authorities have already taken away seven of her children, but she's on the run in Kissimmee with her eighth child, born just a few months ago.

Investigators believe that Velazquez is still in the area, moving from hotel to hotel, staying one step-ahead of investigators.
"We've gone to motels that she's frequented with her boyfriend. We've reached out to family and friends to see if they've seen her or know where she is," said Twis Lizasuain, Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
One of those relatives told Eyewitness News off camera Thursday he hopes Velazquez turns herself into deputies. The mom has a long history with DCF. This time around, it was an anonymous tip that brought Velazquez to the agency's attention. DCF made contact, but then she fell off the radar.

They range from cocaine possession to smuggling contraband into a county detention center. But DCF is less concerned about her record than the 4-month-old's welfare
