Those poor girls! What a horrible way to live! It looks painful removing the excess layers. Their skin looks sore. I hope they find ways to make these girls lives as normal and comfortable as possible :(
Reminds me of "tree man"....
I'm a pretty big advocate of gene research. These cases are just the tip of the iceburg why.
Those are creepy on so many levels. Anyone who thinks we shouldn't do any kind of gene research is full of shit, there are two perfect examples as to why we should.

Chud is there a name for that defect?

Ah, Dede, the Indonesian dude with a wart virus and no immune response to speak of.
Dude is a mess. Last thing I heard he had been supposed to show up for treatment but went back out on the road with the circus instead, probably due to money issues. Now i gotta go look and see if there are any new updates on that guy.
Seriously, massive wart formations aside, the guy has beautiful bone structure. If he could be cured, he could be Derek Zoolander.
Interesting stuff: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dede_(Indonesian) - He has tumors in his back (not so good) and the Indonesian Minister of Health is a right bitch who would rather let this guy die than risk losing money on a vaccine made from Dede's virus samples. Nice.
