ONEIDA — A member of a city Catholic school board was arrested Friday on felony child pornography charges after state police said he owned videos of children having sex with adults and animals.
Matthew Toomath, 38, of Oneida, was charged with multiple felonies including promoting a sexual performance of a child and possessing a sexual performance of a child, troopers said.
The images and videos in Toomath’s possession were of children as young as 5 years old engaged in sexual acts with adults and animals, troopers said.
Toomath is a school board member at St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Oneida, troopers said. He also owns Ye Olde Pizza Pub in Oneida and the Pizzeria in Morrisville, they said. Toomath was to be arraigned Friday in City of Oneida Court.
