Toufik Dine tries to beat straight A's into his girls

This happened in early November 2008:

A Fort Wayne man faces preliminary charges of domestic battery and battery to a juvenile, accused of beating two children with a PVC pipe, court records show.

Toufik Dine, 32, was arrested Saturday and posted bond.

Police were notified of the attack after the girls, ages 11 and 13, fled to a relative’s home. Dine demanded the girls get better grades in school and started beating them repeatedly on their buttocks and legs, court records said.

The girls had visible red raised marks and bruises on their bodies, police said. Dine told the younger girl to get all A’s or risk getting a “hole put in her head” with a wrench, court records state.

and the mom has now been arrested:

A Fort Wayne woman was charged Wednesday with failing to intervene as her husband beat her 11- and 13-year-old daughters with PVC pipe.

Shannon M. Dine, 31, watched as her husband, Toufik Dine, repeatedly beat the girls on their buttocks and legs Nov. 1, according to a probable cause affidavit.

I'm glad they arrested mom for not trying to stop him. I want my girls to do the best they can in school but I don't expect them to get straight A's. I will tolerate a C+ but nothing below it.
Maybe if this asshole praise them for what they did do, they may have wanted to strive for higher grades but to scare them and beat them won't do any good. What a prick.
He needs the pipe used on him.

A rewarded effort has far greater power than a punished failing. Teach them how to succeed, and then reward them when they do. His method is like beating an infant for not walking because you're too lazy to get up and help the child learn. His own failings as a Dad have led to this.

And Mom. I think you should burn for this. He was wrong, but you betrayed the trust of your children. They trusted you to protect them. FAIL.

So two failing parents beat their kids for not succeeding. How ironic! ...and moronic!
