I cant tell what relationship the 15-year-old boy had with the couple. If he was a son of one of them or a friend of the family. They don't mention it in any of the story's I found.

A Sutter woman was sentenced today in Sutter County Superior Court to a year in jail after pleading guilty earlier to lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.

Erica Lynn Long, 28, will receive credit for 169 days already served in Sutter County Jail. She will be on probation for five years and must register as a sex offender, said Deputy District Attorney Jana McClung.

Probation conditions include having no unsupervised contact with children.

The District Attorney's Office reached a plea agreement with Erica Long that included dropping charges of unlawful sexual intercourse, oral copulation, child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, said McClung.

Long's husband, Lonnie Long, pleaded guilty earlier to charges including lewd and lascivious conduct with a child, possession of a gun by a felon and child abuse. He was sentenced to five years in prison and must serve at least 85 percent of the time, said McClung.

At the Longs' preliminary hearing in March, a Sutter County Sheriff's Department detective testified Lonnie Long, 45, gave Valium pills to a 15-year-old boy, telling him they were pain pills, then pressured him to have sex with Erica Long.

According to testimony, detectives served a search warrant Feb. 2 at the couple's home in the 5800 block of South Butte Road and found hundreds of narcotic pills and large amounts of marijuana within easy reach of two small children.

Why isn't she also in jail? I really do not understand. At the very least, she could be charged with contributing to the act?

The fact that these two could use and a buse a minor should be a mandatory 20 years served by both. This was not an accident; they did not "slip-up". It was all planned and carried out accordingly with the intent to use this boy for their sexual deviances.
