Ruben Cuevas intoxicated swerved into oncoming traffic causing a fatal wreck

A man was arrested for intoxication manslaughter after his Chevrolet Z71 swerved into oncoming traffic, causing a fatal wreck in northwest Harris County early Sunday, Sheriff’s deputies said.

Ruben Zuniga Cuevas was driving the Chevrolet eastbound in the 18900 block of FM 2920 about 3 a.m. when he drifted out of his lane and struck another vehicle head on, deputies said. The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Cuevas failed field sobriety tests at the scene and was arrested for intoxication manslaughter, deputies said. A sample of his blood has been obtained for testing. Results arehttp://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/hotstories/6439284.html pending.
