amazing....A woman accused of shooting her 86-year-old husband and concealing his body in the living room told police that the injuries on his face were caused by their pit bulls.
The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the man as Robert Stevenson.
Fort Worth police responded to a home in the 5800 block of Hartman Road Thursday evening after receiving a tip from the woman's son. Officers arrived at the home and found Robin Mirth, 53, hiding behind some furniture and took her into custody.
Police searched the home twice and found the husband under several blankets in the living room between a bed and a wall. Police said the man appeared to have head and facial injuries and a close-range gunshot wound to the back.
Mirth told police the facial injuries were caused by the two pit bulls and four puppies in the home. One officer was bitten before the dogs were removed.
