Carnell Bland sexually assaulted a 5 yr. old girl

A 39-year-old Roxbury man is being held on $100,000 bail, no 10 percent, in the Morris County jail on charges of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl and endangering her welfare over the weekend in Ledgewood.

Carnell Bland, who police said is known to the victim as “Mr. Cory,” allegedly performed a sex act on the little girl and asked her to touch him, according to an arrest affidavit prepared by township Detective Kevin Howell.

The child made disclosures about the encounter to a witness, who told authorities she confronted Bland. He denied doing anything improper but “blamed the victim for inappropriate behaviors including pulling down his pants,” the affidavit said.

Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Detective Anne-Marie Truppo conducted a video-recorded interview with the victim on Monday, and the child allegedly revealed the abuse and demonstrated the act using dolls, the affidavit said.

Bland is charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, a second-degree crime.

yep, i interviewed many SO's when i worked in prison. they say that ALL the time, they really believe it!

i also knew someone personally (who i regret EVER knowing) who once asked me for advice on how to handle the 12 year old daughter of a friend making "passes" at him. he said he didn't want to "hurt her feelings." i was astonished that a grown man would sincerely ask that, and i kind of went off on him. he was "freaked out" by my "overreaction" and never mentioned the girl again. 6 mos later he was locked up, charged with a gazillion counts of abuse. that's when i discovered what a horrible person he really was, and the secret POS life he led.

i think they really convince themselves the kid "wants it" and is "seducing" them, so they can live with themselves every day.

My aunt told me of one of her little cousins, back in the early sixties, that was raped by her step-father. The little girl was six and he of course blamed her, she "came on" to him. What's worse is the mother, backed up her asshat husband and said that she herself had saw her daughter "shaking her little ass" at her husband, and therefore was asking for it. Ready for the worst part? The dickweed recieved no jail time since the little girl had a "promiscuos"(sp?) nature. The only good thing was that she was removed from the home and given to relatives that actually counted as human beings.
P.S. this happened in Florida
