A man was arrested Friday after authorities said he pistol-whipped a woman then stole money and prescription drugs from her.
Shortly before 5 p.m. Friday she and her boyfriend went to visit a friend who lives in the 1000 block of 57th Avenue Place East. When they got to the house they noticed that their friend was not home but saw a man walking around the property. As the woman's boyfriend got out of their car and walked toward the house, the man who had been eyeing the house walked up the car the woman was in and pointed a silver pistol at her and took prescription pills and about $700 from her.
The woman tried to get into the driver's seat from the passenger's seat and start the car. When she did this, the man grabbed her by the hair, pulled her from the vehicle and hit her numerous times in the head with the pistol. He then ran off.
During the investigation detectives identified Joseph McClough, 22, as the suspect. McClough was arrested later Friday and reportedly confessed to the crime.
