A Brazoria County woman is recovering at a Houston-area hospital after her ex-husband allegedly rammed his truck into her house, pinning her between the vehicle and debris.
Tamara Rhodes is being treated for serious bodily injuries after her ex-husband, Donald Wayne Busby, allegedly crashed through her Angleton-area home in the 200 block of Country Drive, according to a Brazoria County Sheriff's Office statement.
Texas Department of Public Safety deputies were dispatched to Rhodes' home around 10:13 p.m. Thursday to investigate a reported accident, according to the statement. But when they arrived at her home, they contacted the sheriff's office to notify them of a possible assault.
When investigators arrived at the scene, they determined Busby allegedly tried to assault Rhodes by smashing his 2004 Ford F250 into the house. Rhodes was pinned between the truck and debris from the crash.
