http://www.kansascity.com/news/break...y/1199535.htmlJackson County prosecutors today accused a 30-year-old woman of setting her father’s porch on fire and causing a five-car crash while high on PCP Thursday afternoon.
Prosecutors charged Debra S. Lora of Kansas City with seven crimes: arson, assault, child endangerment, driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, leaving the scene of a wreck and driving while revoked.
Court records allege Lora was angry at her father for selling her car, so she poured gasoline on a sofa on his front porch in the 3800 block of Montgall Avenue and ignited it with a car lighter. As Lora fled in a car with her 5-year-old son and a friend, Lora nearly hit an unmarked police car containing two detectives. The detectives turned around to follow her, but when they caught up, she already had run a red light at 39th Street and Benton. Her car struck a van, which then spun into another vehicle. A fourth vehicle hit the van. Lora’s car hit a school bus. No children were on the bus.
Lora’s son and her friend suffered minor injuries as did two occupants of the second and third vehicles. Police found a bottle of PCP in Lora’s purse, according to court records.
