also a comment left by someone that "knows" the "Mom"HOWE, Okla. -- Leflore County officials said Kayla Furney and Aaron Hinson brought their unconscious baby to the Poteau Hospital early Saturday morning.
Doctors at the hospital called 911 asking for an officer after noticing a large foot print on the 3-month-old's chest. Leflore County officials said the child also suffered from blunt force trauma to the head and marks on his neck.
The infant was airlifted to a Tulsa hospital where he died early Monday morning.
Tulsa doctors told Leflore county officials that they found old fractures to the infant's arm and head through X-rays, leading police to believe the infant had been previously abused.
"The doctors and of course the staff here and at Tulsa both have confirmed injuries that are consistent with child abuse. Now whether these were ever reported before or not we don't know at this time," Leflore County Sheriff Bruce Curnutt said.
Deputies said they believe the father is responsible for the infant's death but also said the mother may have known about the abuse.
Well, I agree that the baby should rest in peace. But um the people on here who said they know her obviously don't know the Kayla I knew. She came to my school in 5th grade and was there all the way to our senior year. Me and her were pretty good friends in high school and a little of Jr. High and I stopped being friends with her shortly after high school because she stole from me and started lies and just lied in general, and just me either she stole from alot of other people too and she is a pathelogical liar, you can try to take up for her but it is true, ask anyone from that school or our class, she graduated with me and the rest of my class mates. So she was never really normal in the head, she might have appeared that way but she wasn't I only know this because I witnessed it, thats why I stopped being her friend and my mom even forbid me to let her come over or me to hang out with her because of her stealing and lying. Her family is the same too or at least her parents and brother are. Now I don't know how she was as a mother, I didn't even know she was a mother until I heard about this story, but just by knowing how she has always been I can see how she might have been part of that, I don't know because I wasn't there I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if she was, but you know still if she hadn't abused him he had 2 broke arms way before, how would you not notice that I mean really now come on, any mother is going to know something is wrong and obviously this was going on a while since both arms had time to heal and that obviously took a long time to happen and yeah she might have been being abused too but that doesn't mean the baby had to go through it too and thats my point anyone who is right in the head wouldn't just let that happen but like I said earlier she was never right in the head so thats probably how it happened, I'm not saying that to be mean I'm saying it because its true she never was or at least not as long as I knew her and it is not just me like I said you can ask anyone who went to that school and they will tell you the same thing. I was shocked to hear anything went this far but she is also not right anyway, so don't try to say she was just a normal girl because she isn't she never was and her family either I know that because of stuff she would tell me about them and things I witnessed about them and thats how I know about her I've witnessed all of it which is why I stopped being friends with her 2 years ago. But anyway her and him don't really matter, their gettin their consequences for it now and the baby is in a much better place now.
