Christopher Lunny left his 3 yr. old in car seat while he watched a movie

NEWINGTON — A Strafford man is due in Portsmouth District Court on Monday for allegedly leaving his 3-year-old child strapped in a car seat while he went to watch a movie.

Christopher Lunny, 37, of 978 Crown Point Road in Strafford is facing a Class B misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child following the March 14 incident.

Newington Police Sgt. Tim Stuart said Lunny is charged with leaving the child in a car parked behind Kohl's department store in the Crossings at Fox Run Mall while he went to a movie at the Regal Cinemas.

Stuart said a passerby flagged down a patrol officer, relaying a young child had been left unattended in a motor vehicle.

"We subsequently located him in the Regal theater watching a movie," Stuart said.

He said the child was strapped in a car seat inside the vehicle "for a period of time," but did not elaborate on exactly how long the youth might have been left there.

Lunny was arrested on a warrant and released on $500 personal recognizance bail.

What a selfish asshole. I'd like to hear his explanation when his son asks him, "Daddy you took too long, you forgot me...why didn't come get me?...".

He'll not give a shit. I'm sure on that.
