Good Day...

I live in a suburb of New York with my 2 boys(11 & 3), 2 dogs, Hubby and Mom. I am on my second marriage 1st sucked (basic shit abusive, blah, blah). I met my 1st hubby @ 14 and we were together for 11 years. I am now married to the sexiest most wonderful man *be jealous* we have been together for 6 years. My mom has been sick with mental and emotional issues my whole life and now lives with us as of this last year...I love her she can be a pain in my ass but she has the biggest heart.

We have a small Home Theater & Satellite Sales and Installation business that has really taken off in the last three years. I am very grateful for all we have. Our business and my family keeps me very busy. I have an associates degree and recently decided since our finances are stable to continue my education. I am nervous and thrilled at the same time.

That said I enjoy reading here and find that I am in awe of a lot of the members writing abilities and perspectives. I am not a great writer and my intelligence is average, I have a filthy mouth so I apologize ahead of time. Thanks for letting me lurk and add my 2 cents from time to time!

You have been a nice addition to the site. You are one of the posters on the front page, along with Ruby, that I always liked reading. Your name stuck out because my 1st grade teacher was named Mrs. Hill. But she was a big, black lady. She was cool. She acted like I just figured out wormholes when I showed her I could spell the word "picture".

Reminds me.

I had a crush on this chick in 1st grade. Her name was Debbi Tyberski. She was beautiful and pretty well out of my league. Anyway, I finally got the nerve to write her one of those letters that said "I like you, do you like me? Yes or No" on it with two checkboxes. I was scared shitless to give it to her personally, so I went the wuss route and waited for her to to leave her chair.

The moment arrived and she went to go sharpen her pencil or something, and I swooped in like a phantom and dropped the note right on her seat. No way she could miss it. I hurried back to my chair and kept my head low, coloring or doing my Me Myself and I booklet, watching to see as the most beautiful, the most popular girl in Brookdale Elementary walked back to her seat.

She stops momentarily, sees the note, reaches down ans picks it up. She then reads it while still standing. My heart beating through my chest, sweat trickling from my armpits she looks around the room and while holding the paper up above her head, loudly asks "Who wrote this?!" "Who put this on my chair?!"

Yup. I never put my name on it. I was an idiot.

So now the entire class is giggling and reading it and laughing and looking all around the room for the poor schmuck who left that pathetic piece of humiliation on her chair. Including me. Face as red as the neck of a NASCAR fan, I too looked around bewildered, nervously laughing with the rest of the class. Then Mrs. Hill gets involved and says, "Ok now, class, quiet down. Who put this on Debbie's chair?"

Even though my bowels almost let loose in my chair with utter fear, while everyone looked around the room waiting for somebody to fess up, I never admitted that it was me. I always wondered what would have happened had I just stood up proudly and stated "Why, it was me, Debbie Tyberski!". Would I have been humiliated as she looked at me in disgust, or could I have been dating the most beautiful 1st-grader in Brookdale Elementary. Whatever the case, even at that young age, I knew I had let the moment pass and I always felt that it would have been better to have remembered either of those two scenarios rather than wondering about which one may have happened.

Because of that one incident, I never again had issues telling someone I was interested in them, no matter who they were or if they were in my perceived league or not, and I always left my name on the note. It didn't always work out, of course...but sometimes it did.
