An Oriskany manís "Donald Duck" impression around a 9-year-old girl at Wal-Mart led to his arrest after the parents called 9-1-1.
Sheriffís deputies said Martin A. Tuzzolino
, 55, approached the little girl inside the store and acted inappropriately towards her and other children at about 5:30 p.m.
Richard Dodge said, "he was trying to talk like Donald Duck to kids in the store
. Apparently the one girl he approached started crying, and her mother got upset and called 9-1-1."
Tuzzolino did not know the family or the girl, causing the child to become afraid, authorities said.
Fearing a possible abduction attempt, deputies said a parent of the child called 9-1-1. Tuzzolino left the store a short time later, and he was stopped and arrested .
"I really canít say what his intentions were," Dodge said, "But itís strange the way he would approach kids like that."
Authorities said Tuzzolino is charged with disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a child. He is scheduled to appear in City Court.
