    Lydia Hughes Picked A Fight With Cops



    A Boise woman's charged with a number of crimes, including assaulting a police officer.

    Police say they pulled over Lydia Hughes near Maple Grove and Franklin for swerving into oncoming traffic.

    Once at jail, officers say Hughes took a breathalyzer and had a blood alcohol content of .228, nearly three times the legal limit.

    After that, officers say Hughes started fighting with them and at one time, swung up her arms and hit an officer with her handcuffs.

    The officer suffered a cut on the arm.

    Hughes is charged with DUI, underage drinking and battery on an officer.
