A man is being questioned by police after his two-year-old son was taken to hospital in a critical condition following an incident at their home south of Brisbane.
Police said they were called to the Collingworth Park home at 11.51am (AEST) on Sunday and arrived within minutes to find the boy seriously injured.
He was taken by ambulance to the Mater Children's Hospital in a critical condition.
The Nine Network reported the boy suffered serious head injuries and was also struggling to breathe and in need of oxygen after apparently being grabbed around the throat.
His twin brother was unharmed, and the father had been alone with his children at the time, Nine reported.
The 35-year-old man was assisting police with their inquiries, police said.

Police have charged a 35-year-old man after his two-year-old son was taken to hospital in a critical condition today.
Police responding to an emergency triple-0 call went to a house at Collingwood Park, west of Brisbane, and found a two-year-old boy suffering from critical injuries around midday.
The boy was taken by ambulance to the Mater Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Police have charged his father with attempted murder.
He has due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court tomorrow.
