20-year old twin sisters are facing dependent adult abuse charges in connection with the death of their 43- year-old diabetic mother.

Justine and Jasmine Rosales were arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of their mother, Naomi Mendez, a diabetic requiring daily insulin injections who also suffered from several other medical issues.

Mendez had a limited ability to speak and required a walker to move around.

She required the assistance of her daughters with bathing, using the bathroom and eating, Gaumer said.

Mendez's body was found nude in a room littered with urine and feces.

There were no obvious signs of physical abuse, although her emaciated body weighed 78 pounds.

It took them more than two years to bring charges. And as to no charges of physcial abuse?! She's in a room with urine and feces and weighed only 78 pounds. I'd really hate to see what actual physical abuse would look like.
