
HALIFAX — A Littleton area man is expected to recover from shotgun wounds he received Tuesday morning during an argument with his brother.
Initially taken to Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, Percy Harper was transferred to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville, Detective Doug Pilgreen of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday morning.
The shooting on Hedgepeth Road in Littleton was reported to deputies about 1:30 Tuesday morning.
Pilgreen said investigation revealed Albert Lee Harper, 50, allegedly shot his brother after an argument over a telephone call.
Percy was struck from a single shotgun blast in the hand and the buttocks, Pilgreen said.
Albert Lee Harper was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and jailed on $75,000 bond. He has a June 6 court date.
