Boy accused of threatening family

Police say a 16-year-old boy threatened his sister, his mom and her boyfriend with a knife Thursday.

Officer Katie Flood said they were called to his family's apartment in the 2400 block South 10th Street at about 2 a.m. after he had gotten into an argument with his 11-year-old sister over a cigarette.

Flood said he got angry, got a knife from the kitchen and started walking around threatening everyone with it. She said he stabbed the floor and the couch and still had the knife in his hand when police arrived. After telling him several times to put it down, he did.

They took him to the Youth Detention Center, where he was lodged on terroristic threat allegations.

I hope they give this boy some kind of counseling/therapy sessions or one on one or else next time he may follow through.

I am betting that family has had some issues for a long, long time.
For crying out loud the 16 year old was fighting with an 11 year old over cigarettes...

Neither one of them are of legal age to purchase cigarettes much less be smoking them. Sounds like Momma or Daddy has been letting them run wild just a little too long... It blew up in their face.
