An 18-month-old girl who was last seen with her mother's boyfriend has been reported missing in Navarro County.

According to the Navarro County sheriff’s office, Sandra Espinoza said she last saw her daughter Jasliene Morales when 22-year-old Jose Martinez dropped her off at work Monday evening.

Martinez and Jasliene were seen leaving their home early Tuesday morning to pick up Espinoza from work, but they never arrived, the sheriff's office said.

Martinez was driving a red 1998 Ford Expedition with New Mexico license plates HNJ769.

Authorities said an amber alert has not been issued because Martinez has babysat Jasliene in the past.

Why do they wait for amber alerts? If the child is missing, they are missing, that warrants and amber alert

That's really all I needed to read. Cuz I'm a judgemental bitch like that. Why aren't these mothers held responsible? I mean even if the bf never touched the kid before, but one day beats the kid to death, the mother should be charged if she is the one who left the kid in the bf's care. Or is it me??!!!

It's one thing if you know the person has a history of violence or you haven't been dating for very long. Other than that, how are people supposed to know who can be trusted? Maybe you're psychic, but most of us aren't.

Bad, bad feeling on this one. He's on his way to pick up mom and they don't arrive? I know anything could have happened, and until we know more about this BF, we can just speculate. I just can't shake the feeling that he did something to this little one and told mom they were on the way when he was really on the way out of town.

Little Jasliene is my sons age. I don't know how mother is coping but I bet she's falling to pieces. Come home safe sweet one.

Hey Needa, I generally agree with your postings but this time I don't TOTALLY agree. I do agree that mothers shouldn't just leave children with their penis if he hasnt been around long enough to prove himself but I do think that there are boyfriend's out there that are worthy of taking care of a child that isn't theirs without harming them. I have been a single parent for most of my child's life. When dating here and there, my child was never really even introduced to men let alone left with them but I currently live with a man that isnt her bio dad. And I trust him 200%. He is a wonderful man. He isn't her father, he isnt my husband...he is my boyfriend. If you have read any of my posts, you can see that I am a very protective mommy, been accused of being overprotective. So, I do agree and I dont...ya know? I think mother's should be held accountable in instances where they just leave children with men they don't know well. I'm not sure if this post is exactly what I want as Im at work and the phones are ringing off the fucking hook but hopefully you catch my drift!

Found Alive

The Corsicana toddler who went missing Monday has been located alive today, according to a news release issued by the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office.

Eighteen-month-old Jasilene Morales was reported missing Monday by her mother, Sandra Espinoza, after Espinoza’s boyfriend, 22-year-old Jose Andres Martinez, dropped Espinoza off at work.

Details regarding Morales’ being found have not yet been released by the sheriff’s office.

The 22-year-old Corsicana man suspected of kidnapping his girlfriend’s toddler-aged daughter was found dead just before noon today, and officials have ruled his death a suicide.

Eighteen-month-old Jasilene Morales was found in a rural area on the 3500 block of Oak Valley Road in Corsicana locked inside the parked Ford Expedition belonging to her mother’s boyfriend, Jose Andres Martinez.

Officers broke one of the window’s vehicles to free Jasilene from the hot vehicle. She was taken to Navarro Regional Hospital as a precaution, but Navarro County sheriff’s officials say she appeared unharmed.

Martinez’ body was found near the vehicle. A justice of the peace determined that he had killed himself.

Jasilene was reported missing Monday by her mother, Sandra Espinoza, after Martinez dropped Espinoza off at work.

No other details were immediately available. The case is still under investigation.

Just before noon today, the Corsicana Police Department received a telephone call which lead them to the 3500 block of Oak Valley Road, a semi-rural area on the southwest side of the City of Corsicana, Navarro County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Mike Cox said in a release about 2:15 p.m. where they found missing 18-month-old toddler Jasliene Morales, alive and well. The deceased body of her mother's boyfriend, who had the child, was found nearby.

There Officer Ronnie Phillips found the missing Ford Expedition behind a residence, the release said. Corsicana Police Department Cpl. Travis Wallace and Phillips observed Morales alone inside the locked vehicle.

A window was broken to gain access to rescue her from the rising interior temperature, the release stated. She appeared none the worse for her ordeal but was transported to Navarro Regional Hospital by Corsicana Fire Department Ambulance for a complete medical evaluation, Cox wrote in the release.
