One of Herman Thomas' alleged victims testified Monday that he doesn't know why his semen was found on the carpet of an office used by Thomas, who was then a Mobile County circuit judge.
The young man, now 26, did tell jurors that Thomas
spanked him with a belt on several occasions.
The man is one of two alleged victims whose semen was found by investigators in that office on the eighth floor, according to earlier testimony.
Last week, the other alleged victim testified that Thomas asked him to masturbate inside the office.
Thomas, 48, is accused of paddling young male defendants while he was a judge
in exchange for leniency in court. He faces more than 70 charges, including kidnapping, assault, sex abuse, extortion and sodomy.
Thomas, who stepped down from the circuit bench in 2007, has pleaded not guilty and denied any wrongdoing.

The man testified Monday that Thomas beat him on his bare buttocks inside a jury room, in the small office and at a fraternity house in Mobile after meeting the judge in 2000.
During one of the beatings, the man said, he turned around and saw Thomas with an erection in his pants.
"I don't like being here," the man said from the witness stand. "I'm just here to testify the truth."
A Mobile probation officer, Fred Dixon, testified that Thomas
once issued an arrest warrant claiming that young man violated his probation, even though the man hadn't been sentenced to any probation.
Another 26-year-old man testified Monday that ... Thomas beat him on his bare buttocks with a belt about a dozen times at the courthouse.
"I grabbed the belt and told him I wasn't taking it anymore," the man said.
When he turned around, the man said, Thomas was sweating and had an erection in his pants.
So far,
11 alleged victims have testified, and three more are expected to take the stand this week.
