Fields asked her about when she filed the protective order, and she said it was after she had spoken with police. She said she decided to drop the protective order “after things had calmed down” and she had time to think about what happened.
“I know my husband and I know what they were telling me couldn’t be true,” she said.
Fields asked what she had been told by police.
“They told me the cause of death was because she was shook,” Misty Moore told the court. She must have a medical pathology degree if she knows better than they do.
Fields also asked what her husband had told her about what happened.
“He told me that he shook her,” she said.
Corey asked her if she thought her husband would miss any court dates.
“No, I don’t,” she said.
He then asked if she thought he would make all scheduled appearances.
“Of course, I would make him,” she said, then family members laughed.
Fields asked her if she understood if her husband had not acted as he did, her daughter would still be alive.
“Is that clear to you?” he asked.
“Yes,” she responded and continued to talk but was cut off by Fields, who said he had nothing further to ask.

I grew up in a community of folks who named their kids things like "misty dawn" . . . no offense to anyone here, but suspect momma-misty ain't from a long line of bright bulbs. Them boy-childs are also highly prized members of the family, if my suspicions are correct, poor lil Baby Girl was prolly just an accessory/tagalong.
At least I HOPE the son isn't in any immediate physical danger. Emotionally is gonna be another story. :(

I noticed her mood was "pissy" today. I bet. I suppose it must be frustrating not to be able to convince people that her husband/penis is a great guy after he killed a kid and all.
Gosh, maybe the courts, the cops, and all of us should really reconsider this matter and just go along with Misty's assertion that he's a swell husband and provider. NOT!

One would think having your child murdered less than 6 months ago by her own father, would make someone extremely careful about men. I think dating would be the last thing on my mind.

Assistant District Attorney Mike Fields called three witnesses to testify, including Enid Police Department Detective Bryan Hart.
During a video interview, played in court, Moore told the detective he shook his daughter.
“I was irritated from all the crying, and I was getting a headache,” Moore says in the interview.
The interview ends with Moore calling his wife, Misty, and telling her about the March 29 incident.
“I’m going to jail. Because it’s my fault,” he says. “I picked her up and, in my stupidity, I shook her.”
During the video Moore also demonstrates to hart how hard he shook his daughter using a doll.
The court also heard testimony from the girl’s attending emergency room physician and Misty Moore. A state Medical Examiner’s Office report, introduced as evidence, listed Jazmine’s cause of death as “cerebral trauma” and the manner of death as homicide.”
Moore will be arraigned Oct. 16 before Associate District Judge Tom Newby.

ENID — An Enid man who pleaded no contest to murdering a 4-month-old child was sentenced to life in prison.
Neil Ryan Moore, 23, was given the life sentence Tuesday after pleading no contest on a charge of first-degree murder in the death of 4-month-old Jazmine Kay-Lynn Moore.
Assistant District Attorney Mike Fields said a life sentence is calculated at 45 years. After 85 percent of those years are completed, in this case 38 years and three months, Moore is eligible for parole.
According to court documents, Associate District Judge Tom Newby handed down the sentence following Moore’s plea. In addition to the life sentence, Moore must pay jail costs of $9,146.50 and other fees totaling $450.

While at the hospital, police were told by a doctor Jazmine was suffering from retinal hemorrhages and a subdural hematoma, according to the affidavit. The doctor told him she also was showing signs of oxygen deprivation and swelling to the brain. She was flown to OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City and died there April 2.
According to the affidavit, Hart spoke with the child’s mother, Misty Moore, at the hospital. She said she had left for work at 10:45 a.m. that day, and Jazmine had shown no signs of injury at the time. She had left Jazmine there with her husband along with 1-year-old Joshua Moore.
According to the affidavit, she returned home at about 4 p.m. and spoke with Neil Moore about how his day went. She said he told her Jazmine had cried a lot, but he had given her a bottle and she had gone to sleep.
She said about one hour later she picked Jazmine up from her crib, according to the affidavit. She said Jazmine’s arms and legs were limp and it appeared she was gasping for air. At that time, she told Neil Moore they needed to take Jazmine to the hospital.
While at the hospital, Hart also interviewed Neil Moore. According to the affidavit, he told police after his wife left, Jazmine began to cry, so he placed her into her crib and gave her a bottle. He said he later checked on Jazmine and she was asleep.
According to the affidavit, he said about one hour after his wife arrived home, they checked on Jazmine and found she would not wake up. He said nothing else had taken place while Jazmine was in his care.
While continuing to speak with Hart, Moore said while he was doing the dishes, Jazmine began to cry, according to the affidavit. He said he carried Jazmine into the kitchen and at one point had “flopped her” onto his right shoulder. He said he was irritated at Jazmine’s crying, according to the affidavit. He said after he placed Jazmine over his right shoulder he pulled her head forward, telling Hart her head had been forced back. He said he then placed Jazmine in her crib and gave her a bottle. He said Jazmine continued to cry and appeared to be hurt.
Hart then asked him to go with him to Enid Police Department, and he agreed. While at the department, he was read his Miranda rights.
According to the affidavit, Hart spoke further with Moore about the incident. He told Hart when Jazmine’s head was forced back, she went limp, according to the affidavit. He said it appeared Jazmine was gasping for air and when his wife arrived home and asked where Jazmine was, he told her Jazmine was sleeping. He said she didn’t tell her what happened because she didn’t want to upset her.
According to the affidavit, Hart told Moore the explanation he gave him could not account for Jazmine’s injuries. Moore then told Hart after he had placed Jazmine over his right shoulder, he held her in front of him and shook her for about three to five seconds, according to the affidavit. Hart asked how hard he had shaken her and Moore said he had shaken her hard enough, according to the affidavit.
According to the affidavit, Moore demonstrated to Hart with a doll how hard he had shaken Jazmine. He shook the doll hard enough to make the doll’s head move forcefully back and forth several times, according to the affidavit.
He told Hart he knew “this was his fault and that it kills him that he had done this,” according to the affidavit.

The damage was done in moments but Jazmine's life might have been saved had he gotten medical care immediately.....noting the baby lay in her crib for three hours before getting any medical attention.
Rot thinking on that baby killer.

Okay it has been a year since i have been on here to read all the comments on this subject. And all your comments are right. I was stupid and did stand up for a man that does not deserve to have anyone in his corner that is for sure. but i wasnt doing it because of dick. i honestly cant tell you why i did. and yes i know you are goin to say something about that too. but honestly i have learned alot from that expreince. and yes i was dumb i got involved in being a heavy drinker after the lost of jazmine. so i f**ked up alot. and out of that i ended up pregnet again. but also what you dont read is the personal fights i had with myself. i had been with that thing for years. i had made mistakes after the death. i was only 21 i didnt know how to handle it let only knew i could make it through. but i did and my oldest is my savior when EVERYONE talked S**t on me and turned their backs he is the one who woke mommy out of her state. My boys and i now have our own place and i am going back to school to become a nurse plus working two part time jobs to care for them. yes i am dating but that shouldnt reflect on my situation i went through. but thanks for your guys input very welcomed for the eye opener!

And the "put down the penis" stuff isn't really about dick. It's our way of explaining stupid behaviors/attitudes that seem obvious to us but not others. Don't feel bad for not being able to explain it.

Well, you made some mistakes, and they turned out to be serious ones. I chose motherhood nearly 20 years later than you and I'm often grateful that at least most of my worst screw ups were behind me.
Anyone who tells you she is a perfect parent is deluded. Honest, loving mothers try to give it their best every day, and when they feel themselves falling short, they ask for help, they take advice from wise counsel, they look long and hard at themselves and ask how can they make their children's lives better.
All throughout the thread, as I read, I thought, "Hey, I have to give her credit for noticing right away that something was wrong with the baby, for going straight for medical attention." You have had to face some pretty ugly demons head to head. Give it your best and always try to act for your children from a place of love and you stand a chance of not doing much worse than anyone else.
For Jazmine's mother: I'm glad to see that you're moving on with your life. Life is a learning process. We make mistakes, and if we're smart, we learn from them and don't repeat them. For the sake of your remaining children, never stop learning from this.
For Jazmine: RIP little one. Fly with the angels.
