A 20-year-old Sheboygan man has been charged after police say he hit his mother’s boyfriend in the face with a can of vegetables.
Aaron M. Warner, of 1810 N. 12th St., could face up to nine years behind bars on charges of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor battery. Charges were filed Thursday.
According to a criminal complaint:
Police were called to Warner’s home Wednesday after two 911 calls reporting a fight. Officers found Warner and his mother’s boyfriend, Terry Ernst, fighting on the floor.
Warner’s mother told police Ernst had confronted Warner after two men came to the house alleging Warner stole $90 from them. The argument turned physical, and at some point she believed Warner hit Ernst in the face with the vegetables.
Police said Ernst was bleeding from one eye and had bruises around his face and eyes.
Warner was also arrested for underage drinking after registering a 0.071 percent on a preliminary breath test.
