Mizael Rosa Stabbed His Wife to Death

LEOMINSTER - Mizael Rosa pleaded not guilty in Leominster District Court yesterday to a murder charge as the quiet townhouse community where he lived grappled with the violence that took the life of Rosa's 44-year-old wife.

Mizael Rosa, 45, is charged with stabbing his wife to death in the couple's Pennacook Drive townhouse.

Silvia Rosa was found dead by police and emergency medical technicians who responded to a 911 call shortly after midnight yesterday. She had been stabbed several times in her upper torso, according to Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.

He confessed, but now his attorney is bringing up the question of whether or not his Miranda rights were given to him in the "appropriate" languge -- Portuguese.
