Wow, died by suffocation. Poor little Emma , my heart goes out to her other family members who loved her and cherished her so much. There are so many children living in poverty and abuseive homes that never get a chance to be loved like Emma did. Thats what makes its so fucking insane for her to have died like this. That Bitch Stacy had a boatload of people who would have walked on glass to help her out. Maybe thats the real issue here, when your kid shines brighter than you do and takes the spotlight off of you and onto them.

I don't know... if you look at the situations, the fact that they had "people who would have walked on glass to help her out" may very well be the problem.
The line between support and spoilage is not so thin, yet parents cross it with their children all the time, thinking the best thing for their child is to excuse every misgiving and cover every financial obligation. These kids are then drawn to friends who behave similarly. Suddenly, the kid is surrounded by people who would do anything to win their favor, and it dramatically devalues things like responsibility, work ethic, compassion... even life itself will get taken for granted.
Girls like Casey and Stacey simply don't appreciate things like we do, which is why they don't have consideration for anything past their own nose. Sadly, it's the very people who love them the most who have turned them into these monsters, in most cases.
Treat your children like they're THE ONLY thing that matters, and they'll begin to believe it.

You know, we've certainly seen that to be the case with the Anthony's. "Stacey Barker, 24, appeared briefly before Judge Steven Ogden in a courtroom holding cell behind large glass windows and asked through a public defender that her arraignment be postponed for two weeks while she finds a defense attorney or one is assigned to the case. Ogden granted the request and ordered Barker back on May 11. So far it looks like the parents aren't paying for a Lawyer for her. Good for them. In my opinion, the potential has to be there to be exploited. I mean, there are a LOT of spoiled kids out there, most of whom simply turn out to be entitled little shits rather than murderers. But, in cases like this, I do believe that nature and nurture work in concert to create these perfect storms of selfishness, manipulation and narcissism.

I agree completely. I had a pretty rough & tumble childhood and was determined not to make the same mistakes my parents did (haha). The result? A couple of lazy, entitled kids who had to learn some tough lessons the hard way. Thankfully, no murderers. :-)
But my friend, who was murdered by her son (he also had his brother killed and tried to kill his father), is the example of the perfect storm you describe above. BTW, there is supposed to be a 20/20 segment airing on ABC this Friday on that case (the Whitaker murders).

I went there as soon as I heard about Emma "missing". Her myspace photo profile had her and a friend posing with their tongues out, not the current one of her holding her daughter. She changed a lot in her profile after getting some messages of suspicions regarding her "story".
I'm sure that L.E. went there right away and got a peek of her original page.

She did get some of the info wrong, about the Park & Ride, it was reported as a bus stop.
The Palmdale Park & Ride where Barker "came to" and staged the scene for her alibi... I posted before that I think she chose that place because of a murder that happened there several years before. An 18 yr. old female was murdered there one evening by a Security Guard who worked there, and the trial is still going on, in fact at the same Court House where Barker was arraigned on Monday. The Palmdale Park & Ride is used mostly by AV residents who commute to San Fernando Valley, or the LA area for work, and they car-pool from there. So, you have many that leave that area, and head down "below" as the locals call it, to those towns and area. Sylmar is on the outskirts of San Fernando Valley, so maybe that's why she chose that town to dispose Emma. I don't think she randomly chose the Palmdale site, nor Sylmar. She could have easily headed north of Lancaster to rural areas and open deserts that are closer than Sylmar is. Instead she heads south of Lancaster towards the populated cities. No one uses the Palmdale Park & Ride to commute up north of there, since all the cities with jobs are all south of there. Obviously she wanted the body to be found to jive with her being found at the Palmdale Park & Ride.
I've parked at that area many times in the daytime to go on the nearby hiking trail, which also leads off to areas that are hilly and brush filled, where one could also hide a body easily, so to me, she must have had a reason to drive way down to Sylmar.

If it was me I would have buried her up in the hills like you mentioned, she certainly had time to do that , but she wanted the body to be found for some reason, probly much later than it was. A Quartz Hill woman has been ordered to stand trial for murder in the death of her 18-month-old daughter, whom she first claimed was violently kidnapped.
A Lancaster Superior Court judge found sufficient evidence Monday to order 24-year-old Stacey Barker to be tried on murder, assault on a child causing death and child abuse charges.
Police say Barker initially lied when she told deputies that someone knocked her unconscious as she put her toddler, Emma Leigh, into the car March 19. She told sheriff's deputies she awoke hours later half-dressed in a park-and-ride lot in Palmdale.
Officials say Barker later told deputies her daughter died in an accident and she panicked and dumped the body. She was arrested a month later and has been in jail since.

I admit this is the first case that make me cry. It is so heartbreaking. The baby was so beautiful. I am sad that she died violently in her mother's hands. She remind me of my daughter in many ways.....happy, smiling, and beautiful. I don't care if that selfish cunt have mental problems.....she needs to die right way.
