James Branchide lifted 6 yr. old girl's shirt took pics with cell phone

EAST WINDSOR TWP., NJ - March 18, 2009 - (WPVI) -- Police in East Windsor Township, New Jersey say they've arrested a man for following a 6-year-old girl through a grocery store and lifting her shirt to take pictures with his cell phone camera.

Authorities say 38-year-old James Branchide of East Windsor was working at the Shop Rite on Route 130 back on July 15th.

That was the day, police allege, that Branchide followed the girl, lifting her shirt and taking pictures of her chest and abdomen.

Branchide was indicted on one count of second-degree luring or enticing a child and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child (second degree and third degree).

Each second-degree offense carries a penalty of five to 10 years in prison. The third-degree offense carries a penalty of three to five years in prison.

Branchide remains in the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Also named in the indictment is Anthony Zukowski, 55, of Hilltop Drive, Bordentown.

Zukowski, also a Shop Rite employee, was charged with one count of fourth-degree endangering the welfare of a child for receiving the photographs taken by Branchide on his cell phone.

I got a nickel betting that this was NOT their 1st tag team act. No telling how many children have already endured what this little girl did.

And my #1 question... Where the hell was her Momma?? Why was she not right by her side the entire time while in the store???

Wow... regardless of whether the parent(s) was/were present, this is just fucking despicable. I think we've all been lost at the store at one time or another, looking for mom or wandering around disoriented. If I was a 6 year old and some twisted fucks started touching me and messing with my clothes, they'd end up with a Ked-shaped indentation in the vicinity of the nutsack, as my Dad taught me.

Please note, I am in no way placing blame on this poor exploited child for her ordeal, just saying there are ways of teaching a kid how to handle creepy situations. Foot/knee/fist to the crotch works every time.

We have taught all 4 of my nieces to scream and kick and claw and hit and do anything and everything that they can to A. draw attention from other adults near by and B. get away from who ever has them. Basically we have taught them to be little hell cats. (Proud Smile)

You SHOULD be proud. It's a heartbreaking fact of life that kids need to be taught how to defend themselves from all the sick fucks out there, but any parent neglecting to do so is inexcusable. :)

Actually, nasty or not, you can get some cheap ass groceries there. I've been shopping there for almost a year now.

Glad this perv got caught and so did his little kiddie porn buddy! They just opened a new big shoprite near me and it's nice, but there are some scary customers (other than me LOL) The cashier today was ok, bagged the groceries well according to what they were etc, but her interpersonal skills SUCKED! I FELT like I'd fucked up her whole day by coming through her line. guess I'd take her all day every day vs. some child molester!!
