Sean David Ramsey and Devin Adam Pro face 20 years for theft of chicken and socks

    Sean David Ramsey
    Devin Adam Pro

Devin Adam Pro, 17, and Sean David Ramsey, 20, have been charged with robbery, a second-degree felony. Both men were in the Williamson County Jail today with bail set at $20,000 each.

Pro, [sic], and Ramsey,[sic] are accused of trying to take a $4 bag of socks and a $2.83 bucket of chicken, respectively, from the Wal-Mart at 201 Walton Way, according to an arrest affidavit.

As they walked out of the store, security personnel tried to stop them, but both men resisted, according to the affidavit.

Police said loss prevention officers Kimberly Darst and Laurie Nix suffered minor injuries during the struggle with Pro and Ramsey.

20 years? Sounds a bit excessive. Who were they stealing from? And exactly how violently did they resist? Did someone end up in hospital?

20 years in jail does seem a bit excessive for trying to steal $6.83 worth of stuff.

What about the guy who raped the 6 year old child repeatedly and only got probation? http://www.dreamindemon.com/2009/03/...-on-the-wrist/ Why can't we just switch it around and give him 20 years and these guys probation??

They should let me be a judge....

It comes down to value. The items they stole had a cash value. Kids dont. They cant get jobs and contribute taxes etc,you cant legally sell them, so they are 'valueless'. Therefore stiffer sentences for stealing 'stuff' than for harming a child!

You'll forgive me but if they get long prison sentences I'll be the first in line to protest. Like the other poster mentioned, the sick sob who raped the little girl only got probation. To give them more than that for stealing less than 4.00 worth of items is barbaric

i was going to post that, but you beat me to it. i was already sick and upset over that fucking pedo getting off with fucking nothing, but now to see these two minor league nothing idiots being charged with felony robbery for stealing chicken from walmart? i don't understand this fucking world. i know texas takes crime seriously, but come the fuck on. too bad that pedo didn't get sentenced in texas.

i don't know what exactly they did to resist, but i highly doubt anyone ended up in hospital over this. "minor injuries" could be a little scrape or bruise. and they're not being charged with assaulting the security guards, so it couldn't have been too bad.

They would have been better off stealing 50 Billion in a Ponzi scheme.
