MANCHESTER – A man
stabbed his wife in the arm this morning at the Cadillac Motel on Chestnut Street, police said.
A woman, identified by police as Tammie Vincent, 37, of 500 Chestnut St., Room 215, called 911 about 1:30 a.m.
screaming her husband had stabbed her in the arm and he was still in the room.
Officers
forced their way into the room after hearing screams coming from it when they arrived at the motel. Inside, Mrs. Vincent
was bleeding from a stab wound to her left arm.
Police said Jason Vincent, 35, who was also inside the room,
fought them when they tried to arrest him and grabbed a corkscrew knife that was lying nearby.
Officers wrestled the knife, which had freshly smeared blood on it, away from Vincent and put him in handcuffs.
He is charged with first degree assault, criminal threatening, falsifying physical evidence and resisting arrest.
Mrs. Vincent was taken to the Elliot Hospital where she was treated for moderate, non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Vincent is expected to be arraigned this morning in Manchester District Court on the charges.
