    Baby Rhys, 2 months old

From GB, the horrific abuse of baby Rhys, aged 2 months.

A young mother is behind bars for a "horrific" campaign of cruelty against her helpless two-month-old son who died hours after the last attack.

Former crack addict Claire Biggs, 27, who already had one "at risk" child taken into care, repeatedly crushed his chest causing numerous rib fractures. His right wrist and shoulder were also broken.

Medical experts said "severe" force must have been used each time. They told Inner London Crown Court the injuries would have been "extremely painful".

Even Biggs admitted her helpless son - whose blood-spattered clothes were found throughout her one-bedroom flat - spent eight hours screaming in agony on one occasion. Not once did her live-in lover, Paul Husband, 33, do anything to stop her or help the baby. Aid from anyone else was also denied him.

This makes my blood boil once again. How do you listen your baby cry in agony for even 8 seconds, let alone 8 hours. I hate people, I hate people so much right now.

The following link has pics, but due to copyright issues (?) couldn't copy them. He was a beautiful baby.

    Rest in peace little man.

anytime I read about blood splatters of a baby or child I just die on the inside myself.

This poor little darling. 10 rib fractures in one squeeze???

If one child was already taken away, surely they should have been closely monitoring the mother????

It does seem to kill a part of me everytime I read it too. It just scares the shit out of me what people are capable of.

And CPS is a joke, they never do what their supposed to. I honestly believe they are a made up office just there to pretend someone is doing something.

You can tell from the way that dirty bitch is looking at him in that photo that she didn't give a shit about him from the moment he was born.

The words blood spatter and baby should never be found together in the same sentence...
For justice to be met, both mother and father should serve life in prison, after they are both tortured in the same manner that baby Rhys was. Every single bruise, break and crush should match the pain and severity this poor baby went through...and then some extra for just measure.

She doesn't see that she has just been given the most prized treasure ever...

She didn't deserve you sweet one.

Social Services in this country are one big fuck up, visiting a child at risk a "looked after child" they called her, looked after by who?

I would like to punch the parents lights out, pair of fucktards

Hope that poor baby is at peace now with all the other little souls, failed by the very people who should have protected them.
I hate them for what they did

Why dont people just give their babies away if they dont want them. Every city has a fire station...regardless of age....any one of them would happily take a baby who is in harms way...and find a loving home for him/her.
How fucking tragic and sad and my heart is breaking and I am literally crying right now that someone could do this....crack whore or not.

What...do these people think we will think bad things about them if they give their babies away??? Fucking idiots!

The aol article said he was seen by two boroughs. Are those similar to hospitals or children's welfare agencies? I hate all these articles about babies and children who are known to be abused, or strongly suspected of being abused, and are sent back home time and again. It's horrible. You think by now the procedure would be "Hmm...3 week old has fractures. Let's check for Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Hmmm...that came back negative. Let's find him a loving and caring foster home. Hey what's this? No more fractures and the kid is alive and thriving. Well gee! Good thing we got him away from his whacko parents."

Why, why, why do these cases come up constantly? They are always the same. These kids, even the smallest ones, are hardly ever killed the first time they are beaten. I think the parents beat them harder each time because they rationalize that the baby lived through X amount, so why not X plus 5%?

Crack addict Claire Biggs sentenced for killing baby Rhys

A baby died aged just eight weeks old after 'over optimistic' social workers left him with his crack addict mother and her violent sex offender boyfriend.

Rhys Biggs suffered severe injuries during his short life - including 13 broken ribs, a broken shoulder and a broken wrist.
Yesterday, as his mother Claire Biggs was jailed for eight years (WTF???!) for child cruelty, it emerged that if her boyfriend's vile past been known the child would immediately have been taken into care.

But social workers failed to discover that Paul Husband, 33, had a previous conviction for unlawful sex with a girl of seven and a string of convictions for violence. The 'significant error' meant that the little boy was allowed to remain with the couple - effectively signing his death warrant.

In a case which echos the failings in the terrible case of Baby P, drug addict Miss Biggs, who had her first child taken away from her because of her habit, managed to con two social services departments.

After Rhys was born in 2006, Biggs played a cynical game of cat and mouse with the authorities - repeatedly postponing or missing appointments with health visitors. This meant that no-one in authority identified the baby as being at risk.

Sentencing Biggs at Inner London Crown Court, Judge Lindsay Burn said Biggs had failed to attend meetings with social workers and health visitors to avoid her cruelty coming to light.
'You were clearly capable of obtaining help for Rhys when you wanted to. The time came, however, when you turned on him, a tiny baby, and deliberately injured him repeatedly.
'To cover up for the serious injuries you knew you had inflicted upon your baby, you deliberately decided that he would not have medical help to relieve his considerable pain and suffering.

As Biggs was sent down to start her eight-year- sentence - only one year short of the maximum (again, WTF???), she wept and shouted, 'I didn't hurt my baby.'
Husband was 'acutely mentally unwell' yesterday and unable to attend court. He will be sentenced at a later date.

In the baby's brief life he was monitored by agencies in Newham, East London - where Rhys died - and Camden, North London - as Biggs had previously stayed in a hostel there.

Rhys slept in Biggs' and Husband's bed at their flat in Newham.
Following Rhys' death, Biggs went on to have two more children with another man. Both were taken into care shortly after their birth.

The court heard that Biggs is now no longer able to have children for medical reaasons.

So there is a God!!! The fucking bitch has only been sentenced to 8years, and will be out in half that, but SHE CAN NEVER BRING ANOTHER VICTIM INTO THIS WORLD AGAIN!!!! EVER!!!!

    Fucking Europe man...

It's like their value on human life is lessened by the fact that babies are just that-babies. They didn't live long, so fuck it-we won't cost these baby killers their whole life. It makes me fucking sick inside. Honestly, I have no desires to even visit places like England...they are fucked with their laws man...

He loooks like he's in pain in that pic. And he's eyes... This breaks my heart.

The European legal systen is so screwed. And sadly, if this happened in Scandinavia, she would've probably gotten away with two years suspended sentence. I don't understand why babies are not considered humans, it seems.

I'm happy she can't have any more kids. Sleep well, baby Rhys.

Bet the over optimistic social workers aren't feeling so fucking great right now, at least they are alive. Baby Rhys CAN'T feel anything ever again due to their supreme incompetence in leaving this child with his parents.

    Rest in peace little Rhys.

Paul Husband Didn't Stop Claire Biggs

Paul Husband, 33, and former crack addict Claire Biggs, 27, were arrested after two-month-old Rhys died hours after the last attack at the pair's home in Newham, east London.

Husband was jailed for two years and three months after being convicted of wilful neglect.

Passing sentence at Inner London Crown Court Judge Lindsay Burn told him: "You failed to give Rhys the medical help you knew he needed for the distress he was in from some cause."

The judge acknowledged Husband had played no part in the physical abuse of Rhys.

Biggs was jailed for eight years in March for wilful assault after the court heard how she repeatedly crushed the child's chest, fracturing 17 ribs
, in a case with similarities to that of Baby P.

She dodged a series of checks by a health worker and one of her children had already been deemed "at risk" and taken into care.

Husband failed to either stop her or help the baby and Biggs went on to twice break the child's right wrist and fracture his shoulder.

Quinn Hawkins, prosecuting, told the court Husband was convicted of "lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour" with a child when he was 18.

He had rubbed himself against a 10-year-old while lodging with the child's mother.

Defence lawyer Sally O'Neill said Husband had been devastated by Rhys's death and had looked on the child as his own son.

She acknowledged he should have done more to help the baby, but said he felt Biggs "knew best".

I know i have seen this story posted here before, but I searched the forums and got nothing. Weird.

8 years. For crushing a baby. Sometimes I think England's justice system is even more fucked up than ours.

Terrible . The baby P case reminded me of one years back about a woman called Andrea Bone . Don't know if any of you have heard of her , she let her boyfriend abuse and murder her little girl .

Theres actually two threads on baby Rhys. This one and this one :
    http://www.dreamindemon.com/forums/s...ght=Rhys+Biggs

Newham evil mother badly beaten in jail by fellow inmates
A sadistic mother whose baby son died after his ribs, shoulder bones and wrist were broken in an horrific series of child abuse that had echoes of the Baby P case, was battered black and blue by fellow prisoners in a women only jail.

Inmates at HMP Send, in Surrey, ambushed 29-year-old Claire Biggs in the prison gardens and subjected her to a violent punishment, beating after hurling missiles at her, Guildford Crown Court was told.

Miss Biggs, of Greengate Street, Plaistow, had to be rushed to hospital bleeding from a head wound and bruises on her body after she was attacked by a metal bar in the garden of the women-only jail, it was revealed.

One of the attackers Kathleen Buckland, 37, a traveller, was jailed for 12 months after pleading guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm.

Sentencing her, Judge Christopher Critchlow said: “People in prison cannot take the law into their own hands.”

A second woman Katie Burston, 25, from Paignton, Devon, also pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm. She will be sentenced at a later date.

A third woman, Samantha Walters, 27, from Bridgewater, denied the charge - and she was formally acquitted after the prosecution decided to offer no evidence against her.

Evil mother Claire Biggs was jailed back in 2009 for a horrific campaign of cruelty against her helpless son, little Rhys, just two months old, who died hours after the last attack. [...]

    Hated

[...] The court was told that Miss Biggs, now 30, was hated by other jailbirds because of her crimes against her eight-week-old son Rhys, for which she had been sent to prison for eight years, reduced to seven years on appeal.

Joseph Templeton, prosecuting, said: “She was unpopular in prison because of the nature of her conviction.”

On the day of the attack, last year, she and another disliked inmate Dawn Gregory were put on a gardening project, to the fury of other prisoners.

“Both Miss Biggs and Ms Gregory were somewhat isolated,” said Mr Templeton.

Mr Templeton said that during the course of their duties, Miss Biggs and Ms Gregory had to go to a shed – but found themselves unable to get out after coming under siege from other inmates.

“Things were thrown at the shed,” he said.

Then a group of prisoners armed with gardening tools advanced on the two victims.

“Miss Biggs was attacked with these implements. At least three women, including Buckland, were involved in the assault,” said Mr Templeton.

He said: “Ms Gregory went to Miss Biggs’s assistance. She was also injured and lost her glasses in the melee.”

Mr Templeton said Miss Biggs had to be taken to hospital after suffering a cut nearly five centimetres long on her forehead plus bruising to the back of her head and other parts of her body.

    Injuries

In a victim impact statement, the injured woman said: “My injuries took a week to heal.”

Miss Biggs said she had been left feeling extremely nervous and had to be accompanied everywhere either by a friendly inmate or a prison officer.

Sentencing Buckland, Judge Critchlow told her: “You and others decided that they would use violence because of the offences for which you knew she was in prison. You didn’t like her personality.”

But he said that because Buckland would serve only half her 12-month sentence, it would not affect her release date in November.
    http://www.newhamrecorder.co.uk/news...ates_1_1392409

Claire Biggs complained her injuries took over a week to heal? F*$K her!!
I wish they could of at least inflicted the same injuries she gave to her innocent little baby boy.

I thought this was interesting to add....

    "Attention! Harken to my voice!"
"An insidious cult is intent on controlling your actions. I
command you to avoid it at all costs! That is all."

I wish they'd manage to break a few of her bones too.

And the bitch is complaining it took a week for her injuries to heal, when she had beat her baby over the course of weekS, plural She fucking left him screaming in agony for HOURS, with no medical attention or pain relief. Can you imagine the fuss she would be making if she had not received immediate medical attention after her beating? Fucking cunt.

Kathleen Buckland and Katie Burston - thank you.
