Lisa Renee Davis is missing, blood found in home

BARTLETT, TN - The Bartlett Police Department is trying to figure out what happened to a 29 year-old woman who went missing on Sunday, March 8, 2009.

Investigators tell Eyewitness News that Lisa Renee Davis was dropped off at home at 6540 Luxury Cove about 2:00 a.m. Sunday. Hours later, she failed to show up for work at the Bumpus Harley-Davidson shop.

Police went to the home around 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon and found blood at the door and entryway.

They did a quick search of the house but didn't find Davis. Officers are now obtaining a search warrant to allow them to look through the house more thoroughly.

Davis is white, stands about five feet two inches tall, with brown eyes and shoulder-length blond hair. She's a model with a professional website.

Anyone with information about Lisa Renee Davis is asked to call the Bartlett Police Department.

Police suspect a man's suicide Tuesday in a Tennessee home may be connected to the suspicious disappearance Sunday of a 29-year-old former model, sources told FOX 13 News in Memphis.

Shots were fired inside the house, where police were waiting to question the man on a tip they were working, FOX 13 reports. It isn't clear what his connection is to the case of missing Lisa Renee Davis.

The man left a note saying Davis' body could be found near the home, sources close to the investigation told FOX 13. Officials would not say whether they believed Davis was dead or alive.

The home where the unidentified man killed himself is located in a wooded area of Arlington, Tenn., about seven miles from Davis' residence, the sources told FOX 13.

The suicide happened at the home of Thomas and Connie Agee, FOX 13 reported. Their son shot and killed himself in front of his mother when she went to get him for police, sources told the FOX affiliate.

Lisa's co-workers at Bumpus Harley Davidson have closed their doors and lowered their flag to half-mast - a gesture the owner said they would do once they were notified by Lisa's family of her death.

21-year old Austin Agee allegedy left a note regarding the whereabouts of Lisa Davis' body before he fatally shot himself with a rifle Tuesday afternoon at his parent's Arlington home.

Bartlett detectives went to the Agee home around 2:00 p.m. Monday after receiving a tip that he knew something about the Davis case. Moments after they knocked on the door and told Agee's mother, Connie, that they needed to speak with him, a series of tragic events unfolded quickly.

"There was some sort of commotion that went on," says Steve Shular with the Shelby County Sheriff's Office. "When the detectives got upstairs, there was a gunshot. They went into the bedroom and found Agree dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

Investigators say Agee left a suicide note behind telling them where to find Lisa Davis' body. Forensic experts located her in a wooded area not far from a church and just minutes from Agee's house.

When asked if the Bartlett Police Department was looking for anyone else connected to the case, Lt. Rory Mack replied: "Not at this time, not until we examine the body and the investigators fill out their information."

Neighbors say Austin Agee and Lisa Davis had known each other for years and met through a mutual friend at Bumpus Harley-Davidson, where Lisa worked.

Friends also tell myEyewitnessNews.com that Austin had lifelong health problems and was waiting for a kidney transplant.

He and Davis had been in a group of people partying on Beale Street in the hours before her disappearance. Investigators would not confirm if Agee was one of the friends who dropped Davis at her home early Sunday morning.

Lisa Davis' body was taken to the Shelby County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy. A positive identification and cause of death are pending.

When investigators arrived at the residence in Bartlett that Davis owned with her ex-fiance, the woman's car was still there, and her keys, purse and cell phone were discovered inside. They found blood around the front door, but did not find signs of forced entry

Davis' former fiance is a Shelby County Sheriff's deputy, and Bartlett police said the couple had been separated for two to three weeks.

Investigators said there was evidence of a traumatic injury at the house based on forensic evidence collected there. Bartlett K-9 units combed the area Sunday night and removed several pieces of evidence from the house during another search Monday.

So lovely, just beautiful eyes. Seems like there is always a selfish bastard behind these type of cases. I get that he was dying, terrible thing, but to take another life with him?...unforgivable.

Fuck, he really had to make an exit didn't he. So selfish. If I were that mother, I'd have a very hard time dealing with a mix of emotions...I so don't envy her.
