A Richmond mother was arrested for child neglect after officers found her three young children home alone.
What's worse, police said, they suspect the woman left her children to find a drug fix.
Police said a 7-year-old girl woke up at 5:00 a.m. to find her mother gone. Her two younger sisters, ages three and two, were crying for their mother.
The girl called 9-11 and said, "I want my mommy! I'm scared."
Now, Heather Clark, 23, is under arrest for child neglect and drug charges.
When officers arrived at the trailer home, they found marijuana inside one bedroom and evidence of other drub abuse.
Finally, Clark showed up and
officers found fresh track marks on her arms from an apparent heroin habit.
Police said they don't know how long Clark was gone. The last time the children saw her was 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night when they went to bed.
Clark told police that
she left her daughters in the care of a friend who has apparently left.
The children are now in the care of child protective services.
