Dawne Schwartz serves 17-year-old boy more than lunch

A parent volunteer at a Twin Cities high school faces up to 15 years in prison for allegedly having sex with a student.

Dawne Schwartz, 35, helped out at Bloomington Kennedy High School as a lunch room supervisor and occasionally was a substitute teacher at the school.

Schwartz is charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct after she admitted to police that she had sex with a 17-year-old boy. She told police she knew the teen because she's friends with his parents.

According to court papers, the relationship started around November 2008. Schwartz admitted having sex with the student at least 10 times and admitted to sending dirty text messages. She also told police she often drove him back and forth from school.

Schwartz allegedly told someone she had been sleeping with the student at her house. Initially, Schwartz denied having a relationship with the boy, but admitted to sending sexually explicit text messages to the teen and other students.

Later in the interview, Schwartz told police she had been seeing the boy since November and that they had sex numerous times at both her Bloomington home and the boy's parents residence.
