    John Berryhill beaten by relatives of his 13-year-old rape victim

    A rape suspect is in the hospital after police say the alleged victim's relatives attacked him.

    55-year-old John Berryhill is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl after he broke into her house. Around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, three black males attacked Berryhill with a metal pipe.

    Police announced the three men who beat Berryhill are relatives of the rape victim.

    Berryhill is charged with rape and burglary. He will be taken to jail once he is released from USA Medical Center.

    A grand jury will decide whether the men who attacked Berryhill will face any charges.

    While I don't condone vigilante work on a whole...I can try to understand and see what the family was going through and how they felt, and hey, they didn't kill him, that counts for something, right?
