Oconee County Sheriff’s deputies brought a 32-year-old Fair Play man into custody Feb. 20 and have subsequently charged him for sexually assaulting a young girl.

Scuddy Timothy Walker was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a female between the age of 11 and 14.

The incident was reported when Ronald Wallace of Westminster called the Sheriff’s Department, informing the authorities that he had received a text message from his daughter stating she had been sexually assaulted by Walker at his 124 Belton Drive residence in Fair Play.

When officers arrived, they found the minor highly intoxicated and transported the girl to Oconee Memorial Hospital. Walker, also reported to be highly intoxicated, told officers he did not give the girl anything to drink. Officers later learned that the minor was at the home to spend the night, as she and Walker are relatives.

Walker was charged Monday with second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
