The two-year-old Boston Terrier was spotted February 27 going in and out of traffic in the 2600 block of Portsmouth Blvd.
A Petlink chip embedded beneath her skin showed contact information for Pampered Paws Pet Store on Rt. 13 in Laurel, Delaware. Authorities learned the dog had been stolen from the store between July and September 2007, when she was just a pup.
Portsmouth Animal Control Officers named her Karen and she will soon be available for adoption through the Portsmouth Humane Society.
