A 22-year-old Mesa man was arrested allegedly firing a shotgun at a motorcycle that was parked in his spot.
Ramone Eugene Flagg was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, discharging a firearm in the city, criminal damage and lying to police.
According to police reports, Flagg arrived at his apartment complex about 12:30 a.m. and
found a motorcycle parked in his spot.
He became angry, grabbed a black pump-action shotgun, shot the lock that was on the motorcycle and then hid the shotgun in his car, police said.
The owner of the motorcycle heard the gunfire and came outside to see what was going on. Both men started arguing, Flagg tried to flee when the motorcycle owner called police.
When the motorcycle owner tried to prevent Flagg from leaving, the two men started fighting.
Flagg got the shotgun from his car, pointed it at the victim and threatened him with it, police reports said.
The incident was seen by several witnesses who corroborated the victim's story.
When police interviewed Flagg, he eventually admitted to shooting the motorcycle lock and pointing the gun at the owner.
