A Bethel Park man faces a string of criminal charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 7-year-old boy in the bathroom of the Bethel Park Municipal building this weekend, according to a criminal complaint.
Surveillance cameras captured
Donald Regis Miller, 18, following the boy into the bathroom and leaving several minutes later, the complaint says. According to police, Mr. Miller pushed the boy into a stall and locked the door. Mr. Miller forcibly covered the boy's mouth with his hand when he tried to scream, knocking out a tooth, the complaint says.
Police said Mr. Miller also threatened the boy with a knife, holding it to his chest when he resisted. He was arraigned on charges including sexual and aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and recklessly endangering another person.
Mr. Miller was held in the Allegheny County Jail after he was arrested Saturday at his home. Police have recommended that Mr. Miller be evaluated by the jail's behavioral clinic.
