Larry Burg teaches "good touch", "bad touch" to 7 victims

Authorities are in the process of filing 21 additional charges against a Casper man already accused of sexually abusing two children,

Larry Lorenz Burg will face a total of 27 charges connected to seven alleged victims, Casper police Detective Wes Gudahl said.

Prosecutors in January charged Burg with six counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor. Those charges are tied to allegations Burg, 59, sexually abused two girls last month.

Both girls spoke with forensic interviewers at the Children's Advocacy Project center in Casper.

"Based upon the Children's Advocacy Project's good forensic interviews, we were able to find additional victims," Gudahl said. "We are starting the process of getting them help."

The new charges against Burg are tied to sexual abuse allegations that date as far back as 2004. Gudahl said he couldn't comment on where the alleged incidents may have happened.

Police arrested Burg on Jan. 19 after a girl said he forced her to smoke a cigarette and drink what she thought was beer before abusing her and another girl.

A second girl substantiated some of the first girl's story. The second girl also said she watched a pornographic video with Burg while Burg was teaching another child "good touch" and "bad touch."

When police searched Burg's home last month, they found items -- including beer and pornography -- mentioned by the girls in their interviews.

Burg works as a truck driver, according to his application for a public defender.

In the wake of the investigation, Gudahl advised parents to be vigilant about keeping track of who their children are spending time with.

Burg remains held at Natrona County Detention Center in lieu of $75,000 bond. It's not clear when he will return to court.

    Pleads not guilty

It took a Casper man almost a minute this morning to respond to each of the 26 charges accusing him of child molestation.

For each count, Larry Burg gave the same answer. Not guilty[/B].

Burg, 59, entered the pleas during a brief appearance in Natrona County District Court. Dressed in an orange jail uniform, he stood quietly as District Attorney Michael Blonigen went over the long list of charges against him.

The charges accuse Burg of molesting seven girls, who ranged in age from 10 to 14, over a five-year period. Some of the girls told authorities he gave them cigarettes in exchange for sexual acts. Others reported being threatened or even hit by him.

Combined, the maximum penalty for all 26 charges is 885 years behind bars.

Burg, a truck driver who lived in a Paradise Valley trailer home, spoke only to enter his pleas and answer procedural questions from District Judge Scott Skavdahl. As he had in previous court appearances, Burg carried an oxygen tank with him.

Blonigen told the court it would take more than a week to try Burg. A trial date has not been scheduled.

Burg remains jailed at Natrona County Detention Center in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Why can't they all be sentenced to this?

I'll be happy even if he just gets half this.

I can see why he pleaded "not guilty". LOL. At his age a quarter with no parole would do.

A Casper man charged with molesting seven girls has reached a plea deal with prosecutors, his attorney said Thursday.

Under the terms of the agreement, Larry Lorenz Burg, 59, would plead guilty to one charge for each of the alleged victims in the case, said Senior Assistant Public Defender Kurt Infanger. The agreement would allow a judge to decide on the sentence.

"We can argue for whatever we want, and so can the district attorney," Infanger said.
    [...]

The deal calls for 19 charges to be dismissed, according to Infanger. Burg pleaded not guilty to all 26 counts in April.

Burg, a truck driver who was allegedly known to some of the girls as "Grandpa Larry," has remained in custody since police arrested him Jan. 19. He is being held on $250,000 bond.
    [...]

Some of the alleged victims denied any abuse had happened or didn't want to discuss the alleged incidents. However, other girls reported seeing those children being molested, according to police.

One girl told investigators Burg would lock the door to the home before he did "nasty things," a detective testified at a hearing in March. Other girls reported being threatened by him.

He's still looking at major time if the judge comes down hard on him. Let's hope the judge is far from sympathetic.

A judge sentenced a Casper man to 230 years in prison today for sexually abusing seven elementary-age girls inside his Paradise Valley trailer home.

Larry Lorenz Burg, 59, stood motionless in Natrona County District Court while Judge Scott Skavdahl handed down the sentence.

Skavdahl called the case "as a horrific thing as I've ever seen."

Trailers should come equipped with panic buttons for children. Seems they are popular among the child rapin' set.

Wow a judge who finally isn't afraid to grow a set of cajones and do what's right for the children. May this man meet Bubba in prison and enjoy everyday of being Bubba's Bitch!
