Authorities are in the process of filing 21 additional charges against a Casper man already accused of sexually abusing two children,
Larry Lorenz Burg will face a total of
27 charges connected to seven alleged victims, Casper police Detective Wes Gudahl said.
Prosecutors in January charged Burg with six counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor. Those charges are tied to allegations Burg, 59, sexually abused two girls last month.
Both girls spoke with forensic interviewers at the Children's Advocacy Project center in Casper.
"Based upon the Children's Advocacy Project's good forensic interviews, we were able to find additional victims," Gudahl said. "We are starting the process of getting them help."
The new charges against Burg are tied to sexual abuse allegations that date as far back as 2004. Gudahl said he couldn't comment on where the alleged incidents may have happened.
Police arrested Burg on Jan. 19 after a girl said he
forced her to smoke a cigarette and drink what she thought was beer before abusing her and another girl.
A second girl substantiated some of the first girl's story. The second girl also said she
watched a pornographic video with Burg while Burg was
teaching another child "good touch" and "bad touch."
When police searched Burg's home last month, they found items -- including beer and pornography -- mentioned by the girls in their interviews.
Burg works as a truck driver, according to his application for a public defender.
In the wake of the investigation, Gudahl advised parents to be vigilant about keeping track of who their children are spending time with.
Burg remains held at Natrona County Detention Center in lieu of $75,000 bond. It's not clear when he will return to court.
