LANCASTER, S.C. -- Officials with the State Law Enforcement Division say they have issued an AMBER Alert out of Lancaster County.
SLED says they are looking a man who has abducted his three children -- 1-year-old Destiny Reyes, her 3-year-old sister Melanie Reyes and their 5-year-old brother Gerardo Hurto. Destiny is described as weighing 25 pounds and 2 feet tall. Melanie and Gerardo Hurto both are 3 feet tall weighing 45 pounds each.
SLED adds that the three siblings were taken from a home in Lancaster County after six o'clock Thursday evening by 39-year-old Gerardo Reyes-Campos after he assaulted his estranged wife in the home.
She has been taken to a Columbia, South Carolina hospital with neck and upper torso injuries. Neither her name or condition has been released.
Reyes-Campos is described as 5'8" and weighing 170 pounds with brown hair. He was recently deported to Mexico in January and has a criminal history and violent past according to SLED.
SLED is looking for Reyes in a tan Isuzu Rodeo with a South Carolina license plate number of 287-HYN and believe he could be heading to Monroe, North Carolina.
