A Pocono Lake man is in jail after police said he raped his mentally challenged granddaughter.
Pocono Mountain Regional Police said Elmer Stucker Jr., 69, faces a litany of sexual charges including rape, sexual assault, incest and others after an investigation into his activities with his granddaughter.
He is in Monroe County Correctional Facility with bail set at $100,000 and faces a Feb. 26 preliminary hearing in front of District Judge Richard Claypool in Tobyhanna.

"This has been going on for a while, but it didn't come to a head until recently," Bohrman said.
According to the arrest affidavit, the unnamed girl, now 19, reported to a teacher this month that she did not want to go to her grandfather's house because of what he has done to her in the past.
The victim then went into detail about the lewd sexual activities her grandfather forced her to do. The latest incident, according to police, happened Jan. 24.
The sexual acts included everything from Stucker grabbing and kissing his granddaughter's breasts to vaginal penetration. Police said the victim was given wine coolers before the incidents took place.
According to the victim's teacher, the victim functions on the level of a 5-year-old.
The victim's mother, during a police interview, also said Stucker had tried to grab her breasts, but that she never reported the incident.
Stucker confessed to the charges on Tuesday. He said he didn't remember some of the charges but said it was possible because "he was too drunk to remember." He said because the victim is mentally challenged, she wouldn't make anything up, the affidavit states.
He also admitted he touched the victim's mother's breasts without permission.
Stucker also is being charged with aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors, indecent exposure and furnishing liquor to minors.
