I love big families. But families come from all sorts of reasons... not always blood. Sadly, it's begininng to look like the only semblence of normal life thes kids will ever get is to be split up and protected.

Octomom to apply for WIC

WHITTIER - Nadya Suleman said she is contemplating applying for federal assistance to feed her 14 children.

"If I need to apply for (the Women, Infants and Children program) to provide my babies with formula, then I'm going to," she said Wednesday.

WIC provides federal grants to states for food, health care referrals and nutrition education for low-income women and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.

According to its site, a family of 15 would have to make more than $112,480 through June 30 to be ineligible for the WIC program.

Under the program, the octuplets, the six older children under age 8, and Suleman, 33, can receive baby formula, cereal, milk, cheese, vegetables and juice.

Suleman, who gave birth to the world's longest-surviving octuplets Jan. 26 at Kaiser Permanente Bellflower Medical Center, said it would cost $2,000 a month for baby formula alone.

"That's a lot of money for formula," she said.

Suleman said her priority is to feed her children and not worry about scrutiny regarding public assistance.

"I have to let go of what people think. I can't live like that," she said.

Suleman said she is no longer on food stamps but that her children are on Medi-Cal. Only one infant, Jonah, remains in the hospital. The rest are all living on Madonna Lane in La Habra.

"My goal is to get my kids off of (Medi-Cal)," she said.

She obviously did not need invitro if she has had sextuplets and octuplets... And maybe if she wouldve saved all the money she spent on plastic surgery she could provide for her babies...

Octuplets mother Nadya Suleman was questioned Wednesday by police and child welfare officials after her 4-year-old autistic son showed up at school with a black eye and bite marks.

Orange County's Child and Family Services and two La Habra police detectives visited Suleman's home but it was not clear if any action would be taken against the mother of 14, said Jeff Czech, Suleman's attorney.

The 45-minute visit, first reported by RadarOnline.com, was arranged when a teacher noticed Aidan's injuries and reported them to authorities, Czech said.

The attorney said the boy likely got the black eye from a fall and suggested one of Suleman's 2-year-old twins may have caused the bite marks.

"Poor Aidan, he falls a lot," Czech said told The Associated Press. "He jumps at noises and things and bumps furniture and walls."

La Habra police spokeswoman Cindy Knapp confirmed that officers visited Suleman and said child welfare officials requested their assistance.

Orange County Social Services spokeswoman TerryLynn Fischer said her department can't confirm or deny any child welfare investigations because of state confidentiality laws.

Czech said he doubts Suleman will be seriously reprimanded, "but I know CPS takes it very seriously."

Suleman's best option at this point is finding the young culprit and issuing a punishment, he said.

"Nadya says she grounds them, takes their favorite toys away — the typical things that a mother will do," Czech said. "Aiden is a special case."

Police have said they've made several visits to Suleman's home in the last year to respond to complaints about lost, trapped or poorly cared for children.

I pretty much stayed away from this thread, just because I thought she was insane and was crying out for attention. But now i'm pissed.

I watched her on GMA this morning, she was having dinner with a friend, and admitted she regrets having the babies, admitted she only did it hoping the bio dad would love her, and hates her life.

Stupid bitch. Does she not know her kids are going to be able to google this??? And see that she said she regrets having them? Fully aware that she was being taped!!!

Octuplets mother Nadya Suleman told an online celebrity website that she wants her children to have a father in their lives but that the man was upset and resentful when he heard about her pregnancy.

"I want to apologize to him, but I feel like he resents me," she said.

Suleman, who gave birth to eight children in January after undergoing fertility treatment, has not identified the sperm donor and has said in the past that she feels judged by the public for being a single mother.

In an interview with Radar Online, she said she used sperm from the unidentified donor to have her first six children. He did not know she had additional embryos and was "upset" when he found out she was pregnant with eight more babies, Radar said.

"That was my problem. That was my choice. That was my stupidity," she said. "I went behind his back and used them all. He didn't want me to. I feel so much guilt for that."

Octuplet mother Nadya Suleman has signed agreements for each of her 14 children to earn $250 a day to star in a reality television show.

The contracts filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court guarantee the children will collectively earn about $250,000 over three years. The contracts require a judge's approval.

European production company Eyeworks has inked the deal with Suleman. Eyeworks lists "Breaking Bonaduce" and "The Biggest Loser" among its television credits.

I wonder if they have enough letters and emails etc sharing their disgust at this exploitation of these children who were in effect Made and carried and Born JUST so their nobody Momma could be come a reality "celebrity"
I mean come on we have seen what has happened with the whole Jon and Kate nightmare Why do these networks keep thinking this is OK to do??

Frankly i will not watch Just as i do not watch the Jon and Kate mess.
It saddens me that TV stations will do this to children for Money

It is not wonder kids are as thy are today.
No wonder teens are running around beating up one another or doing other stupid crap and filming and putting it on TV they HOPE for that "celebrity" moment

NEW YORK (AP) -- Octuplets mother Nadya Suleman says she doesn't plan on having more children unless she gets married someday "far" in the future. She says if that ever happens, she would only have one child.
Widely known as "Octomom," Suleman has six older children. She appeared Wednesday on ABC's daytime talk show "The View," where she has been a frequent topic of debate.
Suleman's octuplets celebrated their first birthday in January.
All of her children were conceived by in vitro fertilization, and she has been criticized for having a huge family as a single mother on public assistance.
She says her children are her priority and she is looking into various opportunities, including writing a book, to support them.
"If someday far, far, far, far in the future, when they're older, if I meet somebody. ... I'm not going to say 100 percent 'no,'" Suleman said when asked if she planned to have more children. "I'm not going to say someday far in the future (I will) get married and want a baby with that person."

Saturday morning's auction is being hosted by radio personality David Gonzalez who goes by the name "Tattoo."

Gonzalez tells the Orange County Register that a bikini Suleman wore on the cover of tabloid magazines and other undergarments will also be available at the sale being held to support her family.

The La Habra home where octuplets mother Nayda Suleman lives is now owned by her attorney.

Suleman faced possible eviction from the home earlier this year when its lienholder said the Suleman family members had fallen behind in their house payments.

But the Orange County Register reported that property records now show that the home is now owned by Harmony Entertainment, a firm owned by Suleman's attorney, Jeff Czech.
