People have offered Nadya and her children a place to stay with them in the Midwest. Another woman has offered to send breast milk for the children.

According to the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, at Nadya's age, she should have no more than two embryos implanted in her, the medical board in CA is investigating the issue.

If she did have over the amount implanted, she put her children at serious risk of having long-term health problems. More children in the womb = more of a chance of complications, and her children were born at 9 1/2 weeks early. I am all for having big families, but I am saddened that her desire to have a multiple pregnancy was more important than the health of her children.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but she has been in hiding since the birth of her children due to death threats. Her spokesman said that she should be returning home sometime this week.

I'm torn. I don't want the children to have to go without because their mother is an asshat, but I don't think she should get a damn thing. It's sad, because I'd like to tell her "You can do it without assistance and state aid? Fine, get to work." But then what if saying that made the babies suffer.

OMFG!!!! I have been reading about this all over the internet, watched a Dr. Phil episode yesterday about this situation (the mother's PR person was on answering ?'s and pleading this woman's case), seen it all over the news...I AM SICK & TIRED OF ALL OF IT! The media is blowing this so far out of proportion and giving her exactly what she is seeking - sympathy, donations, charity, donations, hand-outs, freebies, donations...did I mentions donation$?! And along w/ the media attention, the donations and the handouts comes the negative press, of course. People like me who are flaming mad and think this woman is a selfish bitch!
Where do I start?! She is SINGLE. Forget the unmarried part. Even if she were a lesbian and unmarried, at least she'd have a PARTNER. Someone there to help her raise these kids. If she went into this w/ a willing, committed, loving partner - male or female - then maybe I could understand. MAYBE.
She is UNEMPLOYED. I'm no expert and I haven't done any research, but my educated guess and the tidbits I am hearing and reading on the news, IVF is expensive. How the hell is she affording to have these procedures done...and how the hell did she think she was going to afford ALL these kids once they got here?! Food, diapers, medical, education, etc.
She is living w/ her parents. They are tired, fed up, facing bankruptcy...yet this selfish bitch decides to have MORE kids and bring them into her parents' home, against their wishes, thinking only of herself!
What about the KIDS she already has?! THREE w/ special needs? What about her children's quality of life? Did she ever once consider that?!
What about the doctors at the clinic that actually implanted all these embryos in her?! What are their consequences? Where is their morality? What were they trying to prove?
People bring up Angelina and Brad...they can AFFORD the children they have. Maybe some of us (me included) would not agree w/ the lifestyle Brad & Angie are exposing their kids to - all the traveling, the adopting kids from different countries frenzy (what were they trying to prove?), etc. - but Brad and Angie are a couple. Their kids have parents, their own home, nannies and vacations and blah blah blah. If I was able and could afford it, I would have as many children as my womb could provide! But it's not doable. It's not realistic. It's not fair to the kids.
And THIS is part of what is so so so wrong w/ this woman - she is not realistic. She is not rational. But b/c of the kids she will one day soon have a new house, mini school bus to drive them around, clothing, etc. People like us are not gonna say let the children suffer to teach this bitch a lesson! B/c it wouldn't be American, it wouldn't be human, it wouldn't be right. I think it just sucks how it looks like we reward bad decisions and bad behavior w/ help and contributions when they should have known better and did better in the first place. We are in a terrible economic CRISIS and she does something so irresponsible and selfish as this?! Not that this woman is making our economy worse, lol, I am just saying how hard some people got it and would never consider doing no shit like this...yet she is gonna get away w/ it and then some.
And not to mention all the people out here who deserve children, who want them, who would be good parents and can't have children! Or can't afford IVF. What about them?!
This situation just sucks all the way around. I hope all the children get through this critical time right now. Doctors are saying a few of them are going to have medical and mental issues, due to the stress of the birth and their low birth weight. I am thinking of the other 6 children as well and how they're going to cope and feel about all of this. And the mother's parents - the grandparents. They should move to Florida and visit at Christmas. They didn't ask for this nor did they want this - and that's their only child?! Bless them.

Lots of people come to the aid of the babies. This frees up mom to finish her degree. She gets a job that requires long hours and lots of travel. There is plenty of help and the children grow up in an unusual but loving environment. They grow up and their respective nannies walk them down the aisle.

I don't feel there is a debate. She can not provide for these children. 17 people in a 3 bedroom home is illegal in most states. It is impossible for this woman to provide the monitary and emotional support these kids need to thrive.

These children should be monitored carefully and taken if she can't handle it.

It just brings to mind the Duggar family. (sp?) They may have 17 kids (or so), but they can afford it, have the room and are a functioning family unit. From looking at this case, I am sure that is not how this family is constructed, nor will it ever be.

Police Lt. John Romero says Thursday that officers are meeting with Suleman's publicist Mike Furtney about the flood of angry phone calls and e-mail messages.

Word that the 33-year-old single, unemployed mother is receiving public assistance to care for the 14 children she conceived through in vitro fertilization has stoked furor among many people.

Furtney says 500 new e-mails were received early Thursday.

He says not all of the calls are angry. One family from the Midwest has invited Suleman and her brood to live on their farm.

Yeah TT, I was just coming to post about that. Apparently in her interview the mom said she hadn't thought about Angelina Jolie for years, but now we're finding out she's been writing to her almost every week for over a year!

Yeah crazy stalker. And they are reporting on HLN right now that the police are investigating a lot of death threats to the mom. That's crossing the line. You don't threaten to kill this woman for giving birth, that's just crazy!

I'm of the camp, that because she cannot afford to support them on her own she should not have had 8 more with 6 already at home, but people actually want to kill this, in my opinion mentally unbalanced woman. What the hell does that say about our society?

And now her publicist has quit because of death threats.

While some may applaud this, I find it disgusting. What earthly purpose would it serve to murder the mom? I'm sure her older kids would be traumatized. I doubt that the family would be kept together, and if they are, that just moves the situation to another person.

As for the publicist, she needs one. Mom has far more important things to do than manage her publicity. While I may not agree with it, it is a fact that the media is hounding her.

Anyone one that sent death threats is just as sick as the mom.
