If you are going to be keeping nude pictures of children and videos of child pornography lying around your apartment, it is probably not in your best interest to give written permission allowing police to inspect your home. Of course, Adrian Navarro, 29, and Mariana Garcia, 23, are probably not the sharpest corners on this page and they might as well put the handcuffs on themselves.

Austin Police were doing a follow-up on recent burgularies in the suspects' area when they discovered Adrian Navarro had an unrelated warrant out for his arrest. He was detained for a short period of time and then released. When asked if he had any connection with the recent burglaries, he denied it and gave them written access to his apartment. While there, police say they found at least 600 images of children, many engaging in inappropriate sexual activities. Navarro also let them search his hard drive which contained a large number of videos with the same material.

When questioned, Navarro said that the computer and pictures belonged to a relative and he was just going to throw them out. Of course, police doubted that story and pressed on with their investigation when they stumbled on a video of Mariana holding a child who looked to be 2-years-old or younger while Navarro was sexually assaulting the child. Well, there goes that cover! Other footage includes one victim referring to Adrian as "daddy" as well as Garcia giving instructions while Navarro and a young girl are performing sex acts.

Adrian and Mariana are currently on the run and police believe that two of their victims are in their custody and are concerned for the children's well being. Police are still trying to identify other victims and are asking that anyone who may have information about Adrian or Mariana as well as information about any children, to call the child abuse tip line: (512) 974-6880.

WTF!!!!???? You must be reading dumb crime of the day Corrupted, the past two stories of yours I've read this morning have talked about people inviting the police over and not being smart enough to even attempt to cover the evidence.

Child sexual predators are becoming an epidemic. We need to start lobbying against tougher crimes for convicted criminals who commit sex acts against children. These are our children, as cliche as it may sound, they ARE our future because we sure as hell aren't going to be around. We owe them a duty of care in ensuring that they are safe in their OWN HOMES, daycare centers, in school, at basketball practice, and on the streets. WTF is up with the adults who commit these heinous acts against the innocent? It seriously makes my damn blood boil!

well this couple does have children and might have been the victims based on whats been said so far. ok so they have 3 kids, ages 5, 1 about to be 2 in Mar. & a baby who will be 1 in march.. these sick people also get Food Stamps in the beginning of the month, so people be aware of the people you see at HEB, Randalls any food store on the 3rd.. Every day when I come to this site, I'm more and more horrified by what I read. Every story, when I think it's the most horrid and awful thing I could ever imagine or read, somehow gets topped the next day by another story, even more gruesome than the last.

What's up with people these days? Did some pedophile light go on, that's says "Ok.. EVERYONE now!!!! Go abuse children!".?!?!!?

What about these couples who abuse children TOGETHER? At what point did they discover/realize/ that WHOA!!! The partner ALSO likes to have sex with children!!! Wow.... that's freaky!?!?!

Seriously.... at what point exactly would someone discover this about their mate? Are they watching reruns of House Hunters, when one leans over, and says to the other "you know... that old basement there...it kind of reminds me of a video I dreamed about the other day...... NOT THAT IT IS ANYTHING I'VE EVER DONE BEFORE!!"... And then he tells her about his dream, and she giggles, and says "Ohh.. .now THAT is HOT!". And he says.... "maybe some day we could try that out". She replies, "yeah.. that would be so much fun!". They sit awhile, House Hunters is over, both in deep thought, when one just pops out with "I know... little Suzie is sleeping in her crib, and even though she's only 1 year old... we could do HER!!!... Want to???".

WTF??????

I'm fed up with these stories, and the only saving grace, is knowing that someday, somehow, they'll get their justice.

Austin police have arrested a man accused of aggravated sexual assault and promotion of child pornography. According to APD, Adrian Navarro, 29, was arrested over the weekend in San Antonio.

Investigators say Navarro and his wife, Mariana Garcia, 23, performed and videotaped horrible sex acts with two children -- possibly their own kids.

Detectives say they found more than 600 pictures and videos of child pornography in the couple’s South Austin apartment nearly two weeks ago.

Austin police say Navarro told them that he got the computer with the images from a relative in San Angelo and had no idea the images were on there.

Investigators went to the couple’s apartment while investigating a string of burglaries in the area. At the time, Navarro was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant. He bonded out before police found the pornographic images. By that time the couple was gone and police put out a statewide search.

They are still looking for Garcia and the children seen on the videotape. Navarro is in the Travis County Jail on a $250,000 bond.

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police are searching for an Austin woman accused of sexual assault and child pornography and fear the fugitive may have two young victims with her.

Her boyfriend, Adrian Navarro, 29, was jailed on similar charges over the weekend.

Now police are worried that two little girls are in danger, as the search continues for 23-year-old Mariana Garcia.

Garcia fled the area last Wednesday after police found photos and video on the computer in her house. Some of the images and footage depicted a girl who was under age 5 engaging in a sexual act with Garcia's boyfriend, Adrian Navarro. Garcia could be heard giving instructions to the girl.

Navarro, 29, was jailed over the weekend after surrendering to police in San Antonio.

"At this time and what has been our top priority is the fact of the safety of the two children who are involved in the household," said Austin Police Sgt. James Mason.

The couple were charged with Police last week when searching the home with the couple's consent , found a computer hard drive and several paper photographs that depicted child pornography.

Police also suspect Navarro's girlfriend Mariana Garcia, 23, in the assaults. However, she has not yet been arrested. The kids are still missing.

"The children are our top priority right now," said James Mason with Austin Police Department.

I actually called the tip line...I thought I saw these fuckers. I'm embarrassed to say these sicko's are from the very town I live in. I have seen little to nothing on the news about them...I'm pissed. I called the assignments desk at the FOX affiliate where I used to work at, asked if they would please follow this case closer...I want this sick bitch caught.

Okay, I found one after I posted this. She fled to Mexico and apparently the girl in the video is her daughter.

Mariana Garcia, an Austin woman who along with her boyfriend is accused of videotaping the sexual assault of two children, was booked into Travis County Jail on Thursday after being extradited from Mexico, Deputy U.S. Marshal Hector Gomez said.

A woman who a prosecutor said held a child down while her husband sexually assaulted the girl — an act the couple captured on video — pleaded guilty in a Travis County courtroom Friday and was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Mariana Garcia’s sentence for two counts of aggravated sexual assault was part of a plea bargain with prosecutors. The charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.

On one hard drive, detectives found more than 500 photographs and more than 15 videos of child pornography, the affidavit said.

One of the videos showed the couple assaulting the child, the affidavit said.

I have no idea HOW ppl bring up the subject either but it seems they do. I have to believe that these women are so fucked in the head that they think it would be better to violate children than to be without a man. Pathetic.

I have a hard time believing that women genuinely find children/child sex erotic.

I think there are more women like this out there than we realize, I would also assume it's less likely for a woman to act on these types of urges than a man. I don't have any facts to support that opinion but that's why it's called an assumption.

Who was the lady that kidnapped the lil girl, sexually assaulted her, stuffed her in a suitcase and threw her away a few months ago? If I remember right she was a repeat offender and had taken, sexually assaulted, and released a different girl prior the murder she committed. I think I'm more disturbed by women that sexually assault kids on their own than I am by the men that do it. Not sure why but I am.

An Austin man accused of sexually assaulting a child while his wife held the girl down, an act captured on video, is set for trial in January after he turned down a plea bargain Wednesday.

During a hearing before state District Judge Bob Perkins, prosecutors offered Adrian Navarro, 30, a deal that would send him to prison for 50 years. Navarro declined the offer even after Perkins reminded him that his wife had pleaded guilty in exchange for a 40-year sentence two weeks ago.

Mariana Garcia, Navarro's wife, admitted after pleading guilty Nov. 20 that she and Navarro were on the video. Police said the video shows the couple sexually assaulting a girl who appeared to be younger than 2. Garcia could be called to testify at her husband's trial, which is set for Jan. 11.

There definitely is something strangely more disturbing about a woman being a sexual predator than a man. I've always said that gender equality does NOT mean that the genders are duplicates, but rather that they are equal in terms of different strengths and different weaknesses as a general overall whole--i.e. I totally believe that there are differences in emotional wiring and physical capabilities (beyond the obvious) in the two genders.

So maybe that's why it's so hard to really accept women as the sexual aggressor in cases like this. For me anyway, I can almost understand the cases where a woman will screw a young teen, but NOT in the cases like this. However, I think it's been a very under-reported crime. I think that these cases coming to light lately are just the tip of the iceberg, as in all child abuse cases. I've been thinking that there are probably more child abuse fatalities than we could ever suspect.
