Man's Eyebrows Shaved For Charity

BLOOMFIELD, Ind. (AP) — A 72-year-old man with eyebrows so long he brushed them each morning raised $1,600 for charity from people who paid to take turns trimming down his out-of-control brows. Some of the wiry hairs shorn from Si Burgher's shaggy eyebrows measured more than three inches long because the former jeweler's brows had never been trimmed before.

Burgher's eyebrows were so long he used to brush them before leaving the house. But he agreed to have the overgrown brows tamed last week by members of the Bloomfield Rotary Club to raise money for a polio eradication campaign.

Burgher barely winced as his wife, Amy, got the first whack at the overgrown hairs.

I don't think I would leave the house again if they didn't. I've gone down to half on eyebrow trying to wax them myself a few times, and unfortunately am sporting the look right now.

My hair color is darker than my eyebrow color (because I dye my hair), so I pencil mine in every morning. Good because I never have to worry about over plucking/waxing, bad because I can smear them when I'm not paying attention.

The grass is always greener, huh? I think we all just need professional cosmotologists tending us. :P

I just can't get the pencil look to look right. It always looks drawn on when I try it, or like I missed with my eyeshadow or something. It just looks wrong on me. Any tips?
