FORT MYERS, FL: An elderly man is dead after a fight inside a Fort Myers retirement home, according to police.
Authorities got a call for help from the Hidden Oaks Retirement Center around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Witnesses told police two elderly men were fighting.
When they arrived, officers found Chrisanto Beltran, 72, dead.
"We're not sure what happened," said Randy Reber, the facility's Executive Director.
The other man in the fight, 87-year-old Kenneth Knauf, was taken to the hospital. He was in good condition Monday morning.
Police say the Medical Examiner's Office will determine what killed Beltran.
The center's director says both men were in the Alzheimer's unit at the facility.
