A Macon man and woman were charged today in connection with an alleged sexual and physical assault of a 5-month-old child, according to Macon police.
Keena Dujuan Lockett, 26, of an address in the Wynfield Apartments complex off Mercer University Drive, and his 20-year-old girlfriend,
Brittany Catrice Williams, were arrested at their apartment at about 11:45 a.m., police spokeswoman Sgt. Melanie Hofmann said.
Members of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted Macon officers in making the arrests.
Williams and Lockett each have been
charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation, two counts of child molestation and one count of cruelty to children, Hofmann said.
Both are being held at the Bibb County jail without bond, according to jail records.
Authorities began to investigate the incident last week when a Macon physician reported signs of assault and molestation on the infant to police, Hofmann said.
The child had been brought to the doctor’s office for a visit by either Williams or Lockett, she said.
Hoffman would not confirm if either person is the parent of the 5-month-old.-
